She doesn’t mention it, but I’m certain she was a part of the decision: when the Queen originally sees the Hartnell dress it is strapless, but when we see it on her broad straps have been added. So she took a conservative dress and had it made more conservative. I thought that was a great little detail.

To be perfectly honest, the costume of Jackie's character (as interpreted on the Crown) is of course much more fashionable for the 60s era in contrast to Elizabeth's elaborate bejeweled ensemble. But personally, I think Jackie Kennedy's satin coulmn dress didn't flatter her shape as well as Queen Elizabeth her waisted tulle dress. Especially in combination with the huge white stole, Jackie kinda disappears under her satin layers. The cut of Elizabeth's dress may have been a bit out-fashioned at the time, but it sure suits her, she wears it. Eitherway, both blue tones suited the wearer perfectly. Real-life Jackie too had so much natural glamour, that decent pastel tones looked best on her, whereas a more "English country girl" - like type such as young Elizabeth (country in terms of modest, not blimpish) always looked best in deep, bold colors.

The Crown is a treat for the eyes... and interesting re the Prime Ministers and historical events as backdrops - obvs the conversations are made up but it is well known The Queen did get on very well with Harold Wilson and not so well with Margaret Thatcher. Latest season is not as good but Gillian Anderson is so brilliant she petrified me....It's as if Maggie T is reincarnated!

Да большинство сюжеты есть да немножко подчеркнули правильно потому что я только вижу как пиджачок у мужчины а жакет я просто не могу разглядеть но ну да в этой жакеты но они чаще всего когда жакеты одевают это это уже коронация это носится когда хмм допустим коронация допустим идёт или принцев или принцесс коронация или королевы даже самой маркетчеры я до сих пор помню гранацию которая показывали вот и как они все одеты были допустим выход в свет может быть даже просто прийти допустим на праздник какой-то большой праздник допустим или хмм какой-нибудь другой страны выехать я не обязательно именно надевается не так а вы подчеркнуть правильно жакет то что жакеты сразу не поняла потому что не могла только увидеть пиджак у них на фраг вот да фрака тройка и тройка бывает отец и враги обязательно все я сразу жакет не узнала но вот да спасибо немножко подсказали я буду знать вот это я только чуть-чуть учусь на этом спасибо что чуть не

Да фасону эти платье простое у неё фасон платья потому что Элизабет у неё немножко фасон даже вот именно вот простого вот характера допустим вот именно это повседневная она одевала такой белое и вырисую немножко такой не сильно голубойкий вот он чуть-чуть как бы приподнимает вот это вот э лифт приподнимает немножко потому что и он у неё очень закута её очень подчёркивает её талию вот а сверху у неё где-то до шляпка такая шляпка была с тёмненькая шляпка всегда на шляпа тёмная носила очень сладкие тёмные чёрные даже одевала белое платье потому что оно очень шло и ну очень она любила белый цвет и перчатки белые подстать были белые но они чётко белая перчатки они прозрачные и не с цветочками а чисто белые перчатки потому что она их очень любила такие носить

Мужчины во франках одеты вот именно вот скорее всего одевают тогда когда какой-нибудь допустим приглашение в какой-нибудь ресторан в кафе-бар допустим даже приходит на театр в таких одеждах э там всегда бабочка присутствует белый м-м белые рубашка и чёрные обязательно фраг и чёрные брюки всё по цвету именно их стон волос это подбирается я так думаю что он их а то он подбирает именно цвет потому что ежели одевать там на тёмно-синие допустим это просто выход какой-нибудь там просто какой-нибудь праздник если одевать допустим какую-нибудь военное одежды то это уже по-моему даже какой-то праздник очень великий праздник происходит или гранация какая-нибудь тоже одевает им такие именно чёрные фраки

По костюмы как говорите эти платья они смотрю это всё-таки глобального вида на балах таких платьях всё время выступает ну потому что пишите вообще это мне кажется пятидесятых шестидесятых годов показывают сезон два вот это там по-моему балы были выпускные баллы какие-то рауты и вот вот именно одевается в такие платья в пятидесятых-шестидесятых годов и это по-моему даже даже очень красиво вот напишите пожалуйста их допустим цвета или как допустим можно ли в них выходить свет куда-нибудь допустим в кафе в бар сходить в этих платьях вот может быть как-то пишите всё в комментариях можно найти платье допустим одевать просто для приглашения в гости куда-нибудь в какой-нибудь из просто в гости сходить кому-нибудь в таких платьях

Да и именно Элизабет вот вы её показываете да она всегда выход у неё было такой всегда или или сарафаном такого в пол очень такой яркий сарафаны бывают у неё бывает даже платье что именно перчатки у неё до самой вот именно до самого длинный очень длинный почти до локтя локоти именно закрывается именно прозрачные очень прозрачные наверное бывает они бледно-белые бывает у неё б**** на голубые она одевает под цвет именно сарафаны или платье или забыто одевается именно вот такие перчатки чтобы именно вот так вот было выглядел также у неё всегда закрыты верх не сильно открывает она не э вверх у меня не сильно открыты даже именно чтобы именно лифт был немножко прикрыто потому что сильно открывать тоже нельзя потому что очень будет всё видно а вот именно сарафаны да у неё всегда сарафаны именно строгое платье потому что мне всегда были строгие именно платья потому что нельзя было одевать именно такой лёгенькое или простое она должна была одеваться такой вот и обязательно украшения не присутствовали линкольца присутствовали также у неё небольшие серёжки наносила вот волосы всегда у неё были прибыльные очень красивые уложены у неё всегда накрученная была на кудри были ну то что ему надо так она выходила да и даже корона присутствовала у неё была она вся в серебре э такие были бриллианты на короне очень дорого стоила я серебряная была у неё серебряная была корона а вот макарона была как ободочком такая сзади и очень хорошо видно было она такая высокая была очень высокая сама женщина высокая статная и под статьёй

The scene was horrible in every sense. Jackie would never wear a satin stole in doors. A stole would only be worn if she was cold. To put jackie in her signature flip when in reality she wore an updo is insulting. It implies jackie doesn't know proper evening styles. Jackie would NEVER step in front of her husband and introduce herself to the queen. They were both very well versed in etiquette. The show portrays them as country bumpkins not even knowing how to address the queen. This entire clip is insulting to anyone with the slightest bit of education. It might as well be a cartoon.

You make a good point! While her costuming may not be very original for this show, I think she does well in this video by using her expertise to highlight and contrast the small details in each couple’s outfits. She explains how the easily missed minutiae visually enhances the episode’s conflict.
