As a someone who lived in the Okanagan Valley for a long time and travelled the Crowsnest Highway a fair amount for work, this brings me so much joy. The highway driving and overall BC vibes are unparalleled in Canada. I miss this part of the world very much so thank you for the much needed nostalgia.

yes, it happened to me twice (with friends) to helping people in difficulty in the car. Until a few years ago the common opinion of people who could see good actions was always positive; recently it has changed and there are more and more people who consider as "idiots" people that make good actions. Nicole, your videos are such a joy to watch. The scenes along the nature reminds me of my many cross country road trips across the US, though my sights are vastly different than your Canadian routes. That said, seeing those nature scenes just gives me a sense of wanderlust, and makes me want to hit the road again, except my car just died and now i'm stuck at home. The part where you were pumping your tire was something I had to do just a few days prior too, in the middle of nowhere small town Nebraska. Thank you for giving us a glimpse of your life, the slices of wood and your okie dokies. You are appreciated.

back when I lived in Sitka, I used to drive from Skagway, down across the alcan to shelby montana and then across the USA to North Carolina. Thats where my folks were back when they were living. I remember driving across part of the Yukon one night and I set the F.M. radio on search and for hours it did not find a station. when it did, it was a native broadcast and the song was amazing grace, in a native language and I listened as I drove and watched the green billowing northern lights. Once the song was over, I put a cassette in the player and listened to Creedence Clearwater Revival. great memories. remember, your cell phone will rob you of your memories if you try to record things in stead of remembering them. true. smiling, George.

Wonderful trip and your return drive reminded me of the drive I took from the east coast to the Seattle area in late November. I was on I-80 driving west and had aleady climbed up and over the Continental Divide, I was worried about encountering snow as I drove higher across the Rockies, but was relieved to find no snow at the Divide. But a few hours later as I reached the border of Montana and Idaho, the road climbed higher as as it did the interstate got more and more covered by snow to the point where right at the stateline! The road at that point looked like it had a couple of inches of not yet plowed snow and I was nervous about the srive going down the other side, so scared if fact that I made a promise to go back to attending Mass on Sunday if I got safely down the Idaho side....which I did and as the altitude lower so did the snow disappear.....I kept my promise, more or less!!!! Thank you for the entertaining videos Nicole!
