Wow. Some of these houses need their own dumpster! Crazy!

Hopefully recyclables get sorted out like scrap metal cardboard boxes vs all landfilled.

I can't even imagine the strange items trash collectors have come across! Some extremely hard working guys. Another great video to feed my addiction!

love the hand loading and the constant cycling. the WXLL is a very nice touch too. How many times a year is this cleanup done? do you know what trucks these guys would drive normally?
@cagarbagetrucks7 жыл бұрын
They normally drive the Autocar WXLL McNeilus (truck 2006). The ex-BFI truck is the spare for our area (from the old San Mateo County yard). The cleanup is done once per year and the city is divided up into sections and assigned a month. Then the break up the big sections into daily routes of around 800 stops. They run Monday - Thursday and sometimes on Friday and Saturday if the routes are too heavy.

Awesome intro haha. Does any of the material like cardboard get recycled?
@cagarbagetrucks7 жыл бұрын
Yup. The material are dumped at a sorting line at Sierra Waste and Recycling in Sacramento.

Who has that much stuff or junk in their house like this and why do they let it accumulate like that

I will never know why trash ever gets to those levels. I assume people just fail at throwing things away sometime and just have a massive purge every time these pickups come around.
