He was also albino on top of that, and again, he worked at a goth store. So behind the counter there was a guy with fangs, pale skin that had cracks in it, dry lips, and he was allergic to the sun... When I was young, I experienced the "Hat Man" phenomenon, but fear wasn't associated with it. I would lay in bed, and he would phase through my door, carrying a briefcase. He would sit at a table and play cards, seemingly with others, though I never saw others. My mother ended up selling the car she had at the time, and that day (in the middle of the day) I saw him on the wall beside me. He tipped his hat and said something akin to "Well kid, I have to go now." I never saw him again. I also never heard him make a noise before that point, but he could definitely talk.

Based on my limited knowledge of sewers, I’d say that the sewer blob at 1:16:15 is likely a fatberg or something similar. A fatberg is a clump of oil, fat and other things you should have poured down your sink or flushed down your toilet, like flushable wipes, that congeals into a greasy, almost fleshlike obstruction. Typically fatbergs are an issue solved by pumping or other methods, but some are large enough to require personnel to extract it manually or even direct excavation from the ground. TLDR: the nutsack at 1:16:15 is likely a fatberg, a congealed mass of oil and such that typically looks fleshlike or flesh-adjacent, that’s a common problem in sewers.

45:40 is certainly a raccoon. What we see isn't a beak, it's his exposed skull or more precise, the opening where his nose was. It decomposed faster, maybe because of the soft tissue, or it was eaten by fish. If you look closely you can see a little, long shadow at the front side of the "beak", that's the opening to his nose and if they would've made the photo from a different angle, it would've been obvious. If somebody wants to argue "that's not his skull, it's a beak, otherwise there would be teeth on the upper jaw" I've to disagree. First, there clearly are teeth on the lower jaw, so it seems very unlikely and stupid/non functional that the upper thing is a beak, also if you look at the underside of the exposed skull you again see some small shadows, which look exactly like holes you'd expect to see on a skull which lost its teeth and that's exactly what happened. In addition to that you can see remains of fur on some parts of his body, like his arm and throat, so it had fur when it was healthy and alive. It's most likely a raccoon and if not, then it's some other smaller mammal.

yeah man things like ghosts or werewolves should be right there on the first layer
@basedimperialism2 жыл бұрын
My guess is that the Mermaids, griffons, and werewolves are lower because most people don't think of them explicitly as Cryptids? Most people would universally agree that they're all fantasy tropes, so the fact that they're lower would be referencing how unknown they are as Cryptids? I mean, I knew there were *some* people who though werewolves and mermaids were real, but I'd literally never heard of anyone in the modern era who thought they'd seen a *griffon* until I heard about it in this video. Kind of how like everyone knows about dwarves because of Tolkien and stuff, but not many people would know about their actual Cryptid counterparts.

to start off, I have never believed in Cryptids and/or Mythological creatures ever. Well this was until I turned 17 (I'm currently 19 now) my family went to Celina, Ohio, we were staying there because my aunt had recently passed away from cancer ,and her funeral was being held there. So we stayed there for 2 days, and during the 1st night at around 2-3 am me and my cousin went fishing. Well that was until we seen a white tail deer staring at us. We both pulled out our phones to record it. but as soon as we pulled out our phones, this "deer" had CLIMBED a maintenance building ( this building was around 25-30 ft. tall and had plastic siding) And when it got to the top of the building it just fizzled away.( it had looked as if it turned into dust) and when we seen that, we ran into our condo that we had been staying in. around a hour later we went to see if the video had captured this image of this "deer" and we when tried playing the video, the sound was distorted and video was blurry. but the deer it self as "deer" form was a female. So this had me going on different cryptid websites, and i found nothing what me and my cousin found. Not to mention that were were the most sober in our lives when this was happening. EDIT: Someone that has experience in Ohio's Cryptids/ Mythological creatures please respond to this. ( i had proclaimed the name of this "deer" as the "Celina Deer Monster" if that helps) EDIT (2): This "deer" had glowing white eyes.

I saw a documentary once about Loch Ness; turns out, it's actually pretty common, due to how deep the lake is, for the water to be completely still and calm on top... and yet a wave can suddenly just curl up & crest randomly, and flatten right back out again-- all due to random currents. I imagine that's possible for a lot of so called 'lake monsters'... the unexpected breaking of a calm surface plus the rounded shape of a wave.... can look a lot like a giant serpent whippin' past, just under the surface.

We have a (or maybe it's The) Cryptozoology museum here in Maine that has hair samples, plaster foot casts, and all kinds of stuff. Because I guess being the state best known for Stephen King stories just wasn't weird enough (and I admit, I have heard things deep in the woods...)

30:57 My grandfather and I have seen a Phantom Cat in Australia, though not in Gippsland Victoria, in Proston Queensland. We saw it somewhere between 1994 and 1995. We were out cutting down a tree on my grandfather's property and it was standing up on a rocky hill type thing. It was a big black jungle cat like a panther. I'm not the type of person to ever believe that any cryptids are real either, so if I hadn't seen it myself then I wouldn't believe it, but that's what we saw.

There are certain fungi that engage in role reversals and consume the small creatures that normally feed on the fungi itself. Some have developed methods to consume nematodes, and things of that sort. I thought of that when you mentioned the man eating tree, so I suppose such a thing is possible on a microscopic level!

I just can't categorize 'mythological animals' and 'cryptids' together in my head. There's a class war there. Mythological creatures have the timeless clout of ancient godly powers. this happened ~10 years ago: i was alone at home while my father was at work and my little sister was playing outside. someone rang the door and i thought it was the mail so i buzzed the door open without asking who's there (we lived in an apartment complex). the ringing continued immediately so i looked through the peephole and saw a little girl. we lived on the 5th floor so it's weird how she got up so fast. when i opened the door i noticed how strange she looked. she had big dark eyes, very pale skin, almost white hair and was wearing clothes that looked 200 years old. she asked me if my sister is home and i said no and asked who she was. she didn't tell me but she claimed that my sister promised her that she would play with her (which is weird bc she looked much younger than my sister). i told her again that my sister isn't home. she got upset and asked me if she could come inside and wait. when i said no again she got even more upset. i closed the door and looked through the spyhole immediately but somehow she was gone already. when my sister got home i asked her about the girl and she told me she didn't know her and was very confused. a few years later i found out about black eyed kids and i think she was one of them.
