The parents even wait until their chicks poop after feeding to keep the nest clean. They are making sure to keep their own chicks well and just feeding the cuckoo chick the bare minimum in order to keep it alive long enough so their own chicks to fledge. They will be ready to leave the nest before the cuckoo has a chance to do the same. The parents are even taking abuse from the cuckoo chick in order to assure their own chicks survival. It is satisfying seeing a parasite failure in progress. It has been very educational watching the progress

Even poop wise you can tell that the others are eating more. The cuckoo's poop is all dried up pretty much. And smaller poop than the others.

In most nests with parasite 🦠 all the biological ones have no chance to survive because most of them have been kicked out when they were in the eggs 🥚 this is phenomenal and it made me looking forward for the next video 😅 Btw, never heard of the parasite is fighting for a survival 😂😂😂😂😂
