& for those that don't have an attention span long enough to read the book I'll explain who Edie was ..... Edie Sedgwick was famous in New York's underground club scene. She appeared in many Andy Warhol films, about 11 or so. Her last film was Ciao! Manhattan, which was made without Warhol. That is why the song is called Edie (Ciao Baby).She died of a drug overdose when she was 28. Actress Kyra Sedgwick (Kevin Bacon's wife) is her neice.

FACT Most sight I've seen, including this KZbin post have the lyrics incorrectly written as: "Oh we caressed your cheek" ***Factual lyric*** "The/Oh WIND caressed your cheek" That's the real lyric... not only that, it's pretty easy to see as that makes a million times more sense to boot
