Hey dude, I just wanna say some thanks from the other side of the pond 🇬🇧 I stopped playing years for about a 6 year stint (accident and life) and started to play again after a gifted acoustic came my way. I was doing ok, but you opened a world to me. The way you teach, with such clarity and make things accessible, it’s a gift in itself. Thank you so much. I now have an electric again, play both and it’s thank in LARGE to you! I’m rubbish but I enjoy myself, and that’s the main bit. I owe you a beer. 😂

The hardest parts of this song are synching the flange and delay, and making payments on a White Falcon. Thanks Marty, we all need more Billy riffs!!

dude, thank you. in the last few days i played a guitar on a whim in a store and had a deposit on it before i knew what was happening. i woke up this morning with an earworm that explained a VERY out of character impulse buy. the guitar, of course, was a Gretsch, lol. even that Les Paul can't QUITE get that tone but the "tron" pickups are the ticket. i've been searching for that exact tone for 30 years and it turns out it's the pups all along. a type of pup i completely overlooked, i thought it was that PARTICULAR guitar in the music video which looks like a White Falcon, a *little* out of my price-range, lol.

Thanks for the lesson Marty! Maybe cover a few more songs off that iconic 'Love' album (ie "Rain" & "Nirvana"). Btw, I noticed you're using Boss Katana combo amps & they sound phenomenal! Especially since, they have almost all the popular Boss modulation effects pedals already built into the amps themselves. Just curious, what model of Boss Katana amps are you using in your instructional lessons?

This is a dumb question but I know the notes from the g major scale and I noticed that when people do riffs in the key of g that sometimes they don't start on G and they start on a sharp or b flat which isn't even on the g major scale but I thought you could only use the notes from the scale?
