8 months ago this was posted and there are 8 comments, this proves my statement on this band which is the following, Loved the Cult past tense , Ian needs a major overhaul I think the Cult is representative of a group that wasted golden opportunities multiple times thanks to Ian, sadly the Cult realized their potential long after their popularity had eroded and they now seem desperate to breathe life into a fire that's long dead but for the nostalgia. Like a chicken with it's head cut off the feet are still kicking but the Cult is already dead RIP

Certainly they did not receive the recognition they deserved back then, but it is better late than never, and their show was excellent and well attended. There is a great deal of love for them today

well, in fact they eventually went their own way and not wanted to force themselves into mainstream rock'n'roll. Although their path was very rocky, especially in the 90s and early 2000s The Cult still manage to release albums, that are truly unique and every one of them sound different. The Cult is the best example of a rock band re-inventing themselves over decades and not being trapped in stagnation repeating the same formula again and again. And they also respect their early works, still touring playing and celebrating songs from the mid 80s. Yes, it's a fan-pleaser, but they do it with passion.
