Yes, I agree. It’s refreshing to hear someone who has had a positive experience inside a group like this. Despite this, there was still good descriptions of why this might fit into the bracket of a high demand religious group.

Nkt gives everyone the option to help as much or not as much as they want. Also its all about achieving happiness , and help others to do the same in the kindest way possible. If people want to help something like this thrive theyre welcome to volunteer which i dont see anything wrong about that. If there is abuse of any kind in the Temple then they are encouraged to report it to administrators. Nothing wrong with this tradition and the way they do things. Why? Because ive practiced it and have been in the community for 3 years and i can say its only done nothing but good things in my life. Im way happier and dont fight with anyone in my family anymore. Nothing wrong with anything mentioned in this podcast about nkt

That’s amazing. I recommended the Insight Meditation centre to a friend of mine who was interested in Buddhism. A while later she told me she had found the place I’d recommended and was attending. It was an NKT place. Not the Insight centre. I’m now here trying to learn about this cult and work out how to help undo this.
