Item title reads - Pathe Gazette presents their version of The Cup final.
Wembley, London.
Intertitle - 'The "Freedom of the Press" was not extended to the newsreels this year and Pathe Gazette issue these pictures taken in circumstances of considerable (?) difficulty.'
C/U of the Sheffield captain, Harry Hooper. C/U's of the rest of the team, Jack Pickering, Charlie Wilkinson, Ernest Jackson, Tom Johnson, Archie McPherson, Harry Barton, Jock Dodds, Bob Barclay, Bert Williams and Jack Smith.
C/U of Arsenal captain Alex James. C/U's of the rest of his team, Joe Hulme, Herbie Roberts, Cliff Bastin, Wilfred Copping (?), Ted Drake, Eddie Hapgood and Alex Wilson.
L/S of crowds outside Wembley, M/S of four young men wearing Sheffield hats. Various shots of the crowds. Slow motion M/S of people walking to the stadium, M/S as they are speeded up to show the hustle and bustle of the crowds. M/S of newsreel cameramen gathered at Heston Aerodrome. Various shots as a Cierva C30A autogyro takes off to film the game from above. M/S of Gracie Fields kicking off a different football match. The frame freezes then carries on to show various shots as men play in gas masks. Aerial L/S of huge crowds in the stadium. Various shaky aerial shots of the game.
M/S of a cartoon cat (?) trying to get in cartoon stadium, he blows up a balloon and floats over the wall. There are various sound bubbles saying 'goal', the cat has sound bubble saying 'hooray'. L/S of the actual Cup Final again, various shots of the crowd and game. The narrator tells us that Arsenal win. Aerial L/S as people walk away afterwards.
