i havent called upon The Cure since 1989......but now i need them again. i never stopped loving them, nor their music....i just didnt need them in my life like i do now, like i did back in 89. When you lose someone you love....the pain doesnt go away. the pain becomes bigger then you can handle, and thats where The Cure come into play. The year 2012 has presented me with a great loss...the loss of my wife. All i can do is listen to The Cure, to ease my pain. I love you Linda I love you i do

Funny, I'm in my 3rd year of listening almost exclusively to the Cure. I find I sometimes force myself to listen to other groups, (so my family won't think I've gone obsessive), and I do like to find new groups on KZbin, but I always come back to the Cure. It's like coming home, warm, comforting, soothing away the harsh realities of my totally f-d up life. I also saw them live last year, and you're right, their live music is more emotional, more of everything I love about them!

You can look for a long time before you find a band with so much resonance and talent as the cure, a dark beauty and vibration of the human condition, which is why we love to listen to their creative and haunting dirges. David

Other faces, other voices, all blur into one, sometimes we dance, play, fight, sometimes Charlotte is herself, and sometimes we are her, and she is us. And yet sometimes and all times we are no one, yet everyone. No geometry or quantum wisdom can span the truth of who we are and who we aren't. And who are you who am I to judge, to define, to delineate, to rule, who am I to obey, I am, we are nothing yet everything, we are then and now and forever, amen.

Saw the Cure live along time ago in the 80's. How I miss the 80's and early 90's. But I guess everyone has what we call the good ole days. It just seemed alive back then with music from what some called dark wave, to wave, punk, ska punk, R&B and the likes of Peter Gabriel to Bryan Ferry. And yes... the beginings of what we called Rave's to just Parties. Good Times.

That put tears on my face.. All the faces All the voices blur Change to one face Change to one voice Prepare yourself for bed The light seems bright And glares on white walls All the sounds of Charlotte sometimes Into the night with Charlotte sometimes Night after night she lay alone in bed Her eyes so open to the dark The streets all looked so strange They seemed so far away But Charlotte did not cry The people seemed so close Playing expressionless games The people seemed So close So many Other names Sometimes I'm dreaming Where all the other people dance Sometimes I'm dreaming Charlotte sometimes Sometimes I'm dreaming Expressionless the trance Sometimes I'm dreaming So many different names Sometimes I'm dreaming The sounds all stay the same Sometimes I'm dreaming She hopes to open shadowed eyes On a different world Come to me Scared princess Charlotte sometimes On that bleak track (See the sun is gone again) The tears were pouring down her face She was crying and crying for a girl Who died so many years before Sometimes I dream Where all the other people dance Sometimes I dream Charlotte sometimes Sometimes I dream The sounds all stay the same Sometimes I'm dreaming There are so many different names Sometimes I dream Sometimes I dream Charlotte sometimes crying for herself Charlotte sometimes dreams a wall around herself But it's always with love With so much love it looks like Everything else Of Charlotte sometimes So far away Glass sealed and pretty Charlotte sometimes

I remember watching the Orange concert on TV here in Sydney in 1988. I didn't really love the Cure before I saw it but song after song in the setting of that ancient ruined anamphetheatre and the crowd just throwing themselves about. It was so evocative and thrilling. I was so young then. When it ended I remember thinking something like 'What in the world was that?! It kind of shook me. So yeah Warner PLZ REMASTER THE ORANGE CONCERT AND RELEASE IT ON DVD !
