If there was ever going to be that fundamental Cure documentary film made, it's been superseded by this collection of five chapters. Your creative effort really has set the bar way too high for anyone else to match, and I'd most definitely pay to see all four-and-a-bit hours woven together in one film at the cinema. Masterful stuff - not a wasted moment.

What a fantastic series and I particularly like the way you selected many not as well known but fantastic songs. I feel so lucky to have started listening to them in 1981. Thank you so much for this 5 part documentary series. I hope there is one more!

Danke an die damalige Austauschfamilie🫶🙏🥰 Love the Cure ❤

Bear With No Face thank god there is you and youtube exists. When I listened to The Cure 35 years ago I didn't know anything about them and I didn't even know the meaning of the songs. I just liked them! With internet a world has opened up to me, I have finally understood many things, I have understood the magic of the music of The Cure. I devoured all the 5 chapters in a few hours. THANK YOU! 💗💗 Bear With no Face grazie a dio ci sei tu ed esiste youtube. GRAZIE!

What a pleasant surprise by giving us a chapter 5 of your fantastic documentary! So many clips I had not seen before, but I especially enjoyed the musical collage you made for one of my favorite songs “M.” 6:30 Also enjoyed how you edited various interviews of Robert’s voice to build the narrative throughout this latest addition to your documentary. Thank you Bear With No Face! Perhaps there will be a Part Six? Please keep it coming!!!

Holy sh%t.. I can't believe I just watched all 5 episodes... ~5hours. It was awesome. Thank you for putting this together and for including whole pieces of the music in the video. I thought that was awesome. Especially the ones where you meld together the same song played in different venues/times. It would be great to see the timeline of the band members and why each left the band. I know some returned but it would be interesting. I feel bad for Lol and thought SimonG was their best bassist. I kinda know their stories but there were many others. I told myself I will go watch their next concert. I missed the 2023 tour.

I am always surprised when I find Cure songs I don't know and I found myself either discovering new songs or new versions of favorites (Forest Show Version!!!- there's a girl??!!). I loved the mix of the song over the making of the video of Friday I'm in Love - it fit perfect! Watch all 5 if you haven't yet!! I can't wait to see what you do for the most recent tour and all the new songs ❤

thank you so much for this treasure trove as others have said, i'm not even that big of a fan but i watched all of this because it's so masterfully done (funny how your first video has 500k views and the 5th one has 5k views at the time of writing this). i don't know if oyu went to school for this but the way you made seamless audio transitions from same songs on different venues, simply mesmerising. i'd also like to compliment you on comparing the video and the making of process, for example them dancing in that one video - shows the difference between fantasy and reality so subtly and correctly. on the other hand watching the behind the scenes and the video in parallel is just a treasure in itself. the amount of dedication to put this together is awesome, but what i really want to say is that you made something that is a pleasure to watch and listen to and you have serious talent.
@BearWithNoFace3 жыл бұрын
I'm so glad you dug it, Seve! It was fun to put together. The first video was picked up by KZbin's algorithm last August for no apparent real reason, so I think a lot of people clicked on it but maybe weren't interested enough to get through the whole thing, but Part 5 is actually new, finished at the beginning of this year.

Robert Smith is one of the most authentic, sweet, and FUCKING BADDASS musicians ever. I know. Because I had a certain amount of success myself. But, there are few "stars" I love. Robert Smith, Kate Bush, and Peter Gabriel (for my contemporaries) are the top three.
