A current mirror is a current source that copies or "mirrors" a current programmed elsewhere in the circuit. In it's simplest form, it consists of a DC voltage source, a resistor, a diode, and bipolar junction transistor. There are practical limits to this configuration, and we discuss those limitations and how to enhance circuit performance.
