To put it blunt. I saw MOP remix. And the stuff they did during mop remix. And it pissed me off to my core. Anytime there was anything fun. Theyd nerf it, anytime there was a method of getting X currency per hour theyd get rid of hyperspawn, adjust drop rates to be 10% what they used to be. And force this arbitrary TIME WASTE onto the patch trying to maximize how much you have to play monthly. And honestly even with doing all the new content. Theyre releasing stuff thats not too long to grind. If you could grind these theyd be done within 2-3 days. But they create these "you must log in X ammount of weeks in a row to obtain this and grind out 4 hours a day" they stretch out seasons for pvp like "no you cant get full set at the start it would um um be unfair to regular players. We also limit your valorstones so you cant upgrade out your gear even when you get it you need to play more next week" its like theyre trying to max out subscription time. Instead of giving us good content. The content we get are time sink after time sink after time sink. And if you wanna catch up current expansion. You need to now start all those time sinks from the start putting you at an obvious disadvantage against other players who did this from day one. The best method of gearing is still content that isnt raids. The best loot. Should only come. From raids. Mythic dungeons shouldnt be dropping heroic level gear or close to mythic level gear, Delves a soloable thing. Shouldnt be droping 600 ilvl pieces and then giving you a mythic piece for your weekly chest. Gear legit means nothing when the raid isnt even worth doing. And not even to mention how they slowed down ALL EXP GAINS for tww to double the time it took to get from 70-80. And the scaling is so broken in wow rn a level 70 in scaled content doubles what a max mythic geared 80 can pump out. And then to punish people who locked their exp to boost other people cuz level 70s did more dmg and they didnt wanna lose their op lvl 70. They created a brand new debuff. That affects YOUR ENTIRE PARTY where even lower level characters CANNOT GAIN EXP if your character is EXP locked. Blizzard literally got rid of a feature just to spite the playerbase for blizzards lazy, terrible scaling.

I played for about a decade from 2005 to 2015... I just came back with the War Within and I've been incredibly impressed. Both in game play and breadth of things to do. That said... I look at the bells and whistle cash grab (like that crazy expensive mount) as ways to subsidize the amount of content in the game that (in my opinion) is probably way past its expiration date. But yeah... for now, the game has me back and I'm thoroughly enjoying my time.... people are going to complain... Blizzard can't make everyone happy, but they got me.

The PvP community has been very disappointed for multiple expansions now. I really wish you would do a video on the topic. We all want a faction based World PvP event again. Think Wintergrasp, Tol’ Borad, and Ashran. Every xpac has new Dungeons, New Raids, but New BG’s? We got a small one. No 40v40. World PVP is nothing more than these disgusting Free for All Zones where we are expected to kill our own Faction without any Lore to support this and basically destroying any Faction Pride that the game was founded on. Someone needs to Champion the cause and get Blizzard to bring back Faction Based PvP.
@alexistaylor969Ай бұрын
Can't have that faction based PvP anymore, WoW is isn't World of *WAR* craft anymore, it is Clown World of Wokecraft, where we all get together and suck each other off before running through the flowers. I mean I expected it to get worse when there was some bitch with blue hair and facial piercings on the Dev PR team. That is just the kind of human garbage working in the gaming industry today, and with all the globalist DEI initiatives forcing companies to comply through financial institutions like BlackRock and Vanguard, it is only going to get worse. Actually talented creative individuals will no longer be hired and we will be left with talentless hacks that can only create a story by tearing down the beloved lore while the suits scheme even more ways to screw the player over.

Why aren’t more people bringing up the fact that this $90 mount is a gilded and mailbox version of an expensive exclusive mount? That was my first thought. There had to be people who spent hundreds of dollars on tokens to buy gold to buy the last one and now they could have gotten the improved version for only $90. This is the first expansion I haven’t played on release, I have played off and on since Christmas break of 2004, and I was about to buy and play this expansion with the anniversary event, but then I seen this mount thrown in my face before I could even consider buying the expansion/subscribing. They should have an algorithm in their store to not show this to people who aren’t even subscribed to the game yet, but that’s my opinion. I can’t imagine someone coming back to play BECAUSE this mount exists. I don’t hate a cash shop, I don’t hate a lot of things that others do, but seeing the betrayal level of this mount, even though I didn’t buy the last one so I was not actively screwed, before I could even pay to play the game, actually hurt my feelings a little. I genuinely, completely backed off of paying money entirely because I seen this. They finally crossed a line to lose me as a customer I guess.. I have been searching for a reason to ignore this abuse so I could play and take part in a 20th anniversary for the FOMO and because this game had been such a big part of my life over those two decades, but I haven’t been able to find that reason to beat that ad yet.. The War Within is the first Xpac in a while where majority of the player base has been super positive about any Xpac since Legion. Not sure if they just thought since they were in the good graces of the players it would make sense to try to drop something that is such an utter cash grab. If it was maybe half the price it is, didn't have in game use/effects to where it feels somewhat P2W and the 20th anniversary just feeling like a let down for a lot of the players... then I don't think people would be as soured as they are right now towards the game. Plus, they really need to slowly but steadily start rolling out the additions to Warbands (retroactive reputations for older Xpacs and QoL features in the character screen.), start adding older Xpac's dungeons to the "follower dungeons" (even older raids.), and to just feel like they are doing more than trying to coast off of the bare bones basics of the new additions to the game. Just as a few notes of things that would be nice to see actually happening. PS. I just don't see a world where i'd justify paying a sub, and then on top of that the expac price just to do the same thing i was doing in the previous expansion, and moreover i do it for free on private servers with slightly more bugs than the official servers. regarding the mount, i have a coworker that is obsessed with wow and he plays on the official servers, i laughed at him for buying the mount and he was geekin on copium saying that "look man it's actually very useful cuz now ion gotta travel to the capital city to buy stuff off the AH and i even got the mailbox on the mount as well" like really bruh? we all end up afking in the main city one way or another, hearthstone cooldown ain't that long with the guild perks, etc. i just find it nuts and now for what i think would need to happen for wow to be ACTUALLY, REALLY good again, even though it's gonna fall upon deaf ears; make leveling tougher again, don't just funnel people into a speed leveling process at that point just remove it from the game since it clearly doesn't matter in the retail version of the game. like i said i haven't played since vanilla, i haven't even ever tried it, but i do get that people enjoyed it much better then because the whole world was alive, not just the main city during that xpac along with instanced dungeons. furthermore, kinda on the same topic, bring back class quests or SOMETHING that would get us out of the main zone of the expansion like idk, it's the war within with xal'atath and nerubians and what not, have some crazy chain quest with some insane reward that sends people all the way to silithus to learn about the aqir, and then to northrend to learn about the nerubians and then to pandaria to learn about the whatever they're called. make the whole world of warcraft feel alive, not just world of khaz algar or wtv the continent is called this xpac, and then next year world of [insert new zone's name here] etc. make rares tough as hell with actually cool rewards that would make players wanna try their hand at them, but here's the catch, they're unbeatable alone, but assuming the world would be more alive and other people are leveling with u in the same zone, u can start a group and make some friends. on the same note, group quests dude, again, make them give some crazy reward that's worth the socialisation, but don't make them part of the main story quest chain, have it be optional, if people don't wanna play with other people, sure, that's not a problem, have it ur way, etc. faction conflict is on the brink of extinction rn, but i think we all liked it back in older versions of wow, have some sort of event system where if hella hordies are in an alliance zone and vice versa, everybody gets a "call to action" or something with some reward being involved for defending the place, and the attackers also get something good if they kill idk turalyon or whoever is the king of stormwind atm, etc. the best moment for this woulda been bfa but they missed their shot suuuper badly anyway, i think the first and most important step would be to make leveling fun and relevant and not just a chore. i think raising the difficulty would be an ez way of doing it because that'd slow down everybody, so there'd be some people present in every zone at all times. in conclusion, i love wow, but i hate blizzard. and that's why, just like u, Nixxiom, i became an avid roleplayer LOL cuz there's no need for their content to enjoy the game that way.

Ya I agree. From a PvP perspective it's not bad. Class tunings out of control and ratings all over the place. I ended up doing something really drastic as of late. I deleted every single character in WoW. Then created all new characters to level. For me, it gave me something interesting to do. All my progress in WoW was not lost because of the Warband Feature. I have enjoyed leveling new characters, especially the Dracthyr as different classes. I did get one character to 70 recently so they can continue War Within stuff. A Void Elf Hunter and I had a joy of going back through the quests to get Hati as a pet again. So far my favorite expansion to do early game in is MOP. Even though I did it a lot during the Remix. I look forward to seeing your void kitty. He is very cute.

As someone who puts in about 20 hours a week into TWW, and I enjoy higher end challenges/contnet, the brontosaurus is essetially required to compete.. To keep the money train going which you need if you play mythic mainly, you'll need some professions and need to sell all your shit. without a Bronty, you'll waste hours and hours and hours flying between all your crafting stations and the AH and mailboxes, the difference between having a bronty and not, is a huge power difference in terms of hour spent. you if you can save yourself 8-12 hours a week, you'll pay for this. the point is, the game is heavily pay to play. obv you can buy gold too through wow tokens, and you can buy toon level ups. this game is now getting very pay to play. i'm sure there will be $500-1000 mounts soon that will add tremendous real world power to the player, and will essentially be required unless you want to waste 40 hours a month doing BS.

For the many people that haven't played TWW, i'll tell you briefly my experience with the expac so far: The story is really good and blizz is actually starting to acknowledge the WORLD in world of warcraft The anniversary event, whilst it came at an unfortunate time, it still has amazing things to do in, a shit ton of things actually, and FUN things, not chores. We've gotten some of the best zones I've ever seen in WoW honestly and mixed with dynamic flying is insane. Delves actually fixed a long time problem for me with gearing up and they are really fun. every reset (wednesdays) we get little story updates on the history of azeroth in other words, more lore about the titans, worldsoul, purpose of many things, cosmic stuff etc the only complaints I have is that the anniversary update came out at the time a big patch would supposed to be coming out but it's fine cause it's a lot of daily content and rewards along the way, and certain bugs that come out with updates which blizz should really fix before putting out the update, which by now they are mostly fixed. Overall it's been the best expansion since Legion, not saying it's better than legion, but to me, the last amazing expansion released was Legion, BFA was alright, it definitely memorable, Shadowlands was unfortunate but it still has very interesting lore aspects IF you look deeper into it, dragonflight was a fresh start honestly and now TWW is the best we've gotten by far since Legion. Now with what is coming up, I'm extremely hyped as these are zones and areas that lore wise, were speculated upon and even gameplay wise, it's really cool. Also, HOUSING?? WE BEEN WANTING IT FOR YEARS AND YEARS AND IT'S FINALLY COMING.

But in order to know this you gotta put effort in the shit you love IF you actually love it. that is why the world soul saga is a thing, because blizz understood from N'zoth in BFA and SL specifically that villians of that caliber can't be one offed in 1 expansion, so they are trying to avoid having people to do their own research and expanding the world accordingly, and so far, i'm assuming you have not even touched upon TWW and if you did I have no idea if you been paying attention, but the lore is there, its better, it's actually interesting and refreshing, and DEI is everywhere at this point so no one can do anything about that.

I started playing at the end of SL and imo this has been the best patch I have played . Expensive mount ? I really do not care , it does not impact me and if people are wasting money that is on them . PVP has been giga fun for me aside from long solo shuffle queues . Prot warrior and especially arms are fun for me , even doing 8+ delves which do not give you any meaningful upgrades is fun as a content itself to do from time to time . Reading all the side quests and doing them from time to time is also fun for me . The only thing that I do not like is the lack of healers/tanks in m+ and healers in pvp , but I do not think that it will every be solved . Azj-kahet is definitely my favorite zone now . Leveling and reading all the quests in cata has also been fun for me , I explored the zones that I never visited , and arms is shaping out to be a fun spec . As for the bugs I did not even notice them , maybe only ele shamans being op but other than that I do not remember any . In a long time I have never felt that I literally do not have enough time to play , even though I can play like 8h every day .

You're spot on. What really sucks about retail is how inflated (and simultaneously deflated) everything is. People play classic because it's exciting when greens drop off normal mobs, gold is a valuable resource, and the world feels HUGE. The class design and gameplay in retails is awesome, a true evolution of the game, but the world has shrunk and everything you could ever need is in your pocket (i.e., on your mount). Is retail too convenient? Maybe...probably. I didn't love running from Elwynn to Silverpine just to run a dungeon, but the dungeon was worth it. Now, I'm not even sure why there is a world (of warcraft); it should just be a game like CoD with lobbies where you queue for random, siloed game modes.

Love to play my classes. I enjoy the raid, the dungeons and the delves. Ther eis so much to do, I'm not tired of the game yet! That being said, I've observed the same with the 20 year anniversary event. Feels like they put a lot of effort putting it together but it did kinda flopped. I think players managed to farm their class set pretty fast. I personaly have visited it once, find it very fun, but I've not been very diligent at doing quest or exploring everything it has to offer. So I would agree with you, in theory the idea was fantastic. It's even well excecuted (beside the bugs), but it did not seem to have resonated with the players so much.

As far as the Brontosaurus goes, I think the fact of the matter is that we need to acknowledge the price of our sub has not increased AT ALL since 2004, meaning the value of our sub has certainly decreased to Blizz. In order for the game to continue to be profitable they need to add store mounts that people will buy, because the reality is they get way more money from that than our subs. As much as it sucks and I agree, I will take this over Blizz increasing the cost of a sub. I can choose whether or not I want to buy the store mount, and these mounts and other in game purchases are what allows my sub price to stay at a steady $15/ mo, so I really do think it’s a necessary evil.

Hate to break it to all of you, but ever since the WoW token, gold is money, and money is gold. The two are inseperably linked. When the OG Brutosaur was released in BFA, it was 5,000,000 gold or $450USD mount. I knew guildies who proudly admitted to buying it with tokens. When the new Brutosaur came out, it was $90USD or about 1,500,000 gold. And this isn't even pay-to-win, especially not compared to all the gold that WFR guilds buy with tokens. How much do you think Paragon or Method spent buying tokens to feed their own insatiable need for gold for crafting & consumables, so they could finish Mythic ahead of everyone else? And yet, Blizzard allows this. They ENCOURAGE it. They put these guilds on a pedestal, and promote them. All of this was inevitable the day the WoW token was released, and this $90 mount isn't even that shocking to anyone who has been paying attention. It still costs less than the Spider mount in Legion.

Hey Nixxiom, I gotta say that I (saying me personally, not talking for anyone else) disagree on most of the things you've said. Regarding the mount, it would've been great to earn it via achievement. In my opinion, the auction house and a mailbox are at your disposal a stone's throw away at almost all times. It is pure convenience to saddle up and have it. Anyone who does buy it, sure, be convenient, be lazy. I am gonna freeload on your mount if I want to, but I also got 5 minutes to go back to 'insert player hub here' and be summoned back or even run back. Regarding the anniversary event, sure it is recycled content, but the anniversary has always been that. Previous events were a moment's stroll to Tanaris, kill Doomwalker, get the goodies, leave. This event has been fun for me, I had some light entertainment to enjoy, show off some mounts/mogs. I personally do not feel like I am missing out any big content. I just looked up Dragonflight's 0.5 patch and there is nothing in there I would have missed this time around. Finally, I have to admit that when I have watched you talk about WoW recently, I get the feeling that you have a generally negative view on the game. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to say "hey, you should be shilling more for the game because I am enjoying it" - criticism is good, it's important. I do get the impression that the points you mention here as well as in other videos come from comment sections on Wowhead, the forums, reddit etc. and being honest, people commenting there are the one percent whining and crying about everything that's released. You mention not having played much, not recalling the name of the isle in 0.7, getting sentiments from comments or articles which gives me the feeling that you may have just adapted the opinions of that same 1% of the player base. What exactly is wrong with the Siren Isle, then? Daily/Weekly quests? That's the gameplay of every "in between" patch of WoW in recent history. Not being able to fly right away on this tiny island? Not even a reason to complain in my view. If those are the reasons for a negative opinion, then skip playing this patch because you want to avoid the gameplay anyway. Finally, I don't want to come across as hating your videos, as I have been enjoying watching you, although on and off, for a number of years. I just wanted to throw my opinion out there.

Brontosaurus is a social experiment, its more expensive than AAA games, LOT of ppl bought it and just dont care. On the other hand if it was cheaper, or obtainable, the gold farmers from BFA would riot about how they had to grind to get a limited mount with AH and now everyone can get it. And regardin the patch they pleased the community with the armor sets, and its too soon for major patch already, we will get proper patches, we will get proper amount of raids etc.
@ilikepiedontuАй бұрын
I think you’re kinda misguided by this event patch. They gave us something new to do, revamped a dungeon to be a raid, brought back classic dungeons both aspects to which are relevant to current day content, and new gear and cosmetics. I bought the mount only because I didn’t have the good back in BFA to get the long neck boi, which is arguably worse than paying $90 outright for amount that does the same thing. Most people who bought that mount did it through wild tokens because they already had in game gold and converted the tokens into battle net balance. So in all reality, this isn’t really an issue. The only advantage it gives is being able to use the option house whenever and wherever you want provided you can use the amount in that location. It gives no real power increase to the player. So I’m not sure where any of this is coming from considering you have been played for a while. Maybe it’s just because it’s jarring to come back and see what you’re seeing now. And to some degree, I get your point, but there really isn’t an issue with this patch at all.

I have been playing. I've enjoyed the expansion, not going to lie and say it's incredible, but it's the best expansion we've had in a long while. Pretty much since WotLK, at least from the starting point. I'm anxious to see more with Hallowfall and the Arathi Empire, but I think that's going to be put off until at least the next expansion in the Worldsoul series. With that said... Hallowfall's been my favorite part of it. Not for the questing, but because of the worldbuilding around it. You have these little breaks in the action where you just... sit and talk. Relax. Play a boardgame. Have a beer, eat a meal. Be living, breathing people. Is it a little RP-y? You bet. But it's such a breath of fresh air in the story, where war and battle is constant, that your characters are reminded of their humanity. That they need to take time to just... live. Regarding the 20th Anniversary. So being someone that's played since Day 1, I'm... a little more on the happy side with it. Sure, the content gets a little repetitive, but what doesn't in this game? The Timewalking events, especially now with a raid... love having that. But the updated Tier 2 armor sets? Maybe I'm a little biased as an old Warrior and Wrath being the first raid set I completed, but I love it. At least, mostly... some of them look like crap because, let's be honest, they looked like crap even back in the day. But some of them just look amazing. The DK set, based on their starting zone gear? If I didn't have the Nightsoul Mythic DK set from Legion already, I'd definitely wear that all the time. Honestly, I wish they did the same with all the old Vanilla sets. I mean, kinda did with Tier 4 when Naxx moved to WotLK, but if they did revamps of T1 and T3, as well? Or even T0/.5? I mean yeah, there's a lot to buy there as is, but options would be really nice. Maybe in the future, though, if it means showing the same love and care they put into redoing the T2 sets. But yeah, I'm taking the time to collect all of them... even the crap ones, because why not? Even if they do look like crap, they're still better crap than the original crap. And if we don't get them now, knowing Blizzard, they'll be $60 apiece in the store after the event goes away. Speaking of which, yep... obvious cash grab is obvious, I don't need a $90 mount, I have enough mounts as it is, and they are functionally the same. You can't even fly in this thing. Or... can you? I don't really know, I haven't looked into it, because I never even bother opening the store.

think of the cash shop as a way for them to not raise sub costs. it allows them to raise more money without raising everyone's sub. it's not giving anyone an advantage in game .

they should have stopped after legion and make an entire new game with legion the og warcraft storyline was done thats why everything after legions feels kinda out of place (except bfa)

Currently waiting for next season, only content left for me really is mythic raiding but with the lockouts and saves just makes it unplayable when I can’t dedicate to a guild and schedule. I don’t understand why that system is still in place and not just similar to heroic where players can try harder content and keep trying to improve.

I'll admit, they sucked me back in with SOD, but seeing how they did that, and the changes made to SOM, I have 0 faith in Blizzard for even a second vanilla reboot.

This is why I didn't pay for TWW. I don't care if they had success in certain areas; retail's game shop is overrides the value of anything earned in-game.

Been playing wow nearly 20 years, subbed for like 2 months then unsubbed, trying to get motivated was really hard, trying to fix this game is like trying to squeeze toothpaste back in its tube, its now disastrous game play is the end result of trying to please EVERYONE !!! OH AND "THAT" MOUNT IS $134.00 AU fk that........and no i didnt buy it !!

Remember, the end game everyone is fighting for in game that we were lead to fight for- is Azeroth breaking apart as the titan within wakes up. We're just fighting for the Titans plans, they care nothing for the cursed fleshlings. If you think i am wrong, you've not been paying attention to the story all these years.

I decided to get back into the game about two weeks before the anniversary patch came out and I am happy that I did. Mainly because coming back to the game after a hiatus I get confused when the game starts telling me "oh you need to re-do your talents bla bla" and when that happens I feel more inclined to start a new character and level it up. I decided to roll something new that I had never done before and after a few days I got to 70 which was the max I decided to buy the new expansion. Ended up getting to 80 by doing all the quests in Isle of Dorn and The Ringing Deeps and shortly there after the patch came. Seeing the exp buff and warband buff I quickly got on levelling up stuff I wanted to play in the WW content, I tried a bunch of new classes and specs and I have come to love Windwalker and Mistweaver monk and I swear I have not been enjoying another class like this since Legion where I fell in love with Shadow Priest. As someone who prefers to play alone or with a couple of friends I find that I am not focusing on trying/struggling to get new gear, instead it is given to me and I feel motivated to do open world stuff or anything to get my to upgrade which in turn gives me more items and it has been really satisfying. So far it has been fun and I am happy to see that plunderstorm is coming back because I never got to experience it. I feel like I am in the game with fresh new eyes where everything don't feel like a chore. At least so far, yet time will tell.

Way I see it, the anniversary patch bought them more time to work on the next story patch. Which I really hope is epic.

You can work on farming gold and use money and do a combination to make the price lower did anyone think of that?

Is this the original UI and did you just move things around a little bit or is that an add on? The UI looks so clean, but still original. Very inspiring!

The 20th anniversary is perfect for people who want to farm out the Bruto mount we can do it without Fomo and do activities we would normally do to get coins for some of the rewards. Meanwhile if the 20th anniversary and a new part of TWW came out at the same time we would be in panic mode. There are different ways of seeing things.

With the mount i have goone trough the whole loop. Starting with anger for it being a buy mount, but than it went to its a AH mount with the previous one being something that would have cost you more than this, a lot more. Now i see it as this: The mount is a way to give more support to blizzard for making this game, this game we love, and have played for so many years now. As a cosmatic unlock within the game itself.

The shop mount is no different than the first brontosaurus, if you look at the different prices depending on the region you can see that they are based on the gold value of the WoW Token, the difference is that by putting it in the shop, those who do not dedicate themselves to making gold could access it more directly, but essentially it is a mount made to remove gold from the game. Why not put it for gold in the game if you can buy gold with the token? Because that would make the price unstable due to the supply and demand of tokens, making it so that if you wanted to acquire it with real money by putting tokens up for sale it would cost you more and more in real money, while by doing it the other way around what you do is raise the value of the token and take more and more gold out of the game's economy. How many dollars are to day 5 million gold?

The anniversary patch was perfectly ok for a .5 patch. I think the raid is great, and everything around it was good. I absolutely didn't like TWW story, so I don't mind we didn't get more boring Earthen or Arathi stuff. Can't wait for Isle grinding and Undermine!

So wait, the expansion started great and then slowed down over time once people did all the content? Surely this has never happened before.

i really like world quests, gives me co-op things to do that arent just mythics and raids, but i really wish there was more variety in world quests so the world feels less empty, static, and simple, and i can have other things that are more interesting to farm than repeating the same handful of dungeons and delves all the time 😿
