Bioshock 2 is my favorite of the series. I played it many times using different weapons and plasmids each time. Telekinesis is very important too to pull supplies you can't reach to you and to throw back grenades and other objects thrown at you. You are going to use Telekinesis a lot on the next level when you fight the Rumbler Big Daddies. The Cyclone Trap plasmid is another good plasmid to get to place down traps when your Little Sister gathers ADAM. Don't buy any tonics as you will be getting free ones along your way. Just buy tonic slots with your ADAM instead so you can use them. Also, when you come across a new weapon or plasmid, the next situation the game gives you is a great opportunity to use it. So be aware of that when you pick up a new weapon or plasmid. You can check your research progress in the menu where you check the map. Make sure you research everything including Big Daddies, Big Sisters, security cameras, turrets, and flying bots. The research camera in Bioshock 2 is more like a video camera but you can take a quick snap shot of dead splicers you forgot to research while they were alive for a small amount of research points. It is best to research them while they are alive and then the closer you are to them while you kill them, the better research points you get. You can get 2 health kits out of the first aid stations by first fully hacking it (by getting the blue hacking area) and then by destroying it. Sometimes it is best to just keep them hacked because an injured splicer will try to use it and it will spray out poison gas and kill it. Once you are done with the area, you can then destroy it to get the extra health kit. Another tip...don't waste your ADAM buying tonics. You will get free ones along the way so buy tonic slots instead so you can use the ones you find. Also, for plasmids, I recommend insect swarm and cyclone trap because they are great to use for gathering. Cyclone Trap 2 is good because you can put other plasmids inside of it. Plus you can just keep on putting more and more down around the Little Sister as she gathers. Insect Swarm 3 is good because it will keep on stinging more and more splicers but Cyclone Trap 3 is not needed so I'd stop at Cyclone Trap 2. Trap Rivets are always good for gathering as well. Don't bother with the Scout plasmid as it is not useful. Also, Winter Blast is very effective because it will freeze a splicer for a long time but the problem with it is that when you hit a splicer that is frozen from Winter Blast, they might shatter and you lose their loot. So Electro Bolt is a better choice because you won't lose their loot after you kill them. Whenever someone in the game tells you to hurry or act quickly, it means you should slow down, stock up on your ammo, and get ready for a battle. Remember to use your hack tool to shoot a remote hack dart at the security cameras when you come across them. You can shoot the dart and then move out of the camera's view while you hack it. You can use the remote hack tool on all machines like turrets as well. There usually is a bot shutdown station near by as well to shut down the security alert. It is better to hack turrets and security cameras rather than destroy them.

Wow, thanks a ton for all of the tips! I will say one thing though, I'm slightly averse to using Insect Swarm because of the way it looked in the first game. You can check out that series to see how I reacted to that, it's in one of the last episodes that I get a good look at it.

@@SnakeFang199 One difference between the first and second game is that the second game focuses a lot of ADAM gathering with the Little Sisters. Insect swarm really helps keeping the splicers away. Cyclone Trap is great too because you can keep laying them down over and over again to protect your Little Sister.
