Gee you guys were lucky for so many reasons with the car. I lived in the NT from 97-01. Back then NT stood for not today, not tomorrow, not Tuesday, not Thursday. When we 1st moved there it was so frustrating, by the time we left we loved how laid back it was.

Quince is used for making jam. Quince jam is good with a sharp cheese. It’s worth trying the jam

Yeah, we wish we found the hole earlier, before the check engine light came on. This is exactly what we would have done but as it was our options become very limited due to where we were and the time constraint. :/

Air filter box is plastic ... Maybe a $12 plastic rubbish bin from bunnings cut up for patch then fibreglass resin all around. And fibreglass resin gaps .it is tough

Oops. Glad you were able to make it to Katherine and they were able to get the part and put it in AND in record time. Reminds me of stopping to view an elephant in Botswana and noticing something leaking from the car when we got out to watch the elephant.It was gasoline. We rubbed a cake of soap on the hole that patched it very temporarily - needing to stop multiple times to reapply. The national park facility office was able to repair it for us and we got back on the road. Phew. Carry on! And beat those ants and other bugs somehow! Remember to hydrate!!

Hey that’s good you found it before it became a big problem. Wish we had found the hole in the air box earlier, or options would have been better then but at least it was able to be fixed. Even though it was really expensive haha. Yeah we did finally get rid of the ants but the mozzies became a big problems in Kakadu! Haha thank you for watching :)

Not sure how long ago you filmed this but Nov to April is worst time for tourists to be up there as temp/humidity climbs to extreme making it very tough going. It is the best time to be in the southern coast of Aus - i am sure your fully aware of this. How long till your visa runs out and can you extend it?

I'm guessing that 'woolly' from an Australian would translate as 'sketchy' in American. But with no implied danger. Its not that common an Australian phrase in my experience . More pommy. Usually means vague or confused and relates to how someone thinks or the inherent logic of an idea or situation. Skatterbrained
