Here's my million dollar idea Lagina Bro's Build a dome over the money pit with pneumatic fittings and gauges, dye the water, then pressurize the inside of the dome to see if the water level starts to drop. If your trap door theory is correct, you will see the dye along the coastline and you'll know where to dig to plug those holes so you can drain the pit and get your gold!

I watch this show every week and have for the last 4 years. It is getting a little long in the tooth and quite frustrating due to the endless dangling carrot that history channel gives us each week. I personally think something significant did happen on that island. You can’t ignore the number of structures that have been found in smiths cove intentionally hidden at lest ten feet under the ocean shore. It would have taken a massive effort to dam the beach. Build all this stuff and then conceal it again in such a way that it was nearly impossible to find. Who ever did this was very careful to clean up all the evidence of their work. You also can’t discount all the other findings that have yet to be properly investigated. The major problem is that in the last 200 years no one had the wearwithal to actually look for the clues in an archeological forensic manner to try and understand what went on there and how to uncover it. They just dug the place to pieces and destroyed everything. The same is true of Rick and Marty. Although the do have respect for figuring out the who and why they have not properly conducted an archeological forensic dig of the island taking the time to properly examine and understand what they are looking at. They simply dig and jump randomly often not properly concluding and examination before moving to something else. What ever happened here it was clearly a massive undertaking and may have been done at the hands of several different peoples over a very long period of time. Not one single group. The question is why? If there was a treasure there it could have been removed long ago. The problem I have with the entire thing is that no one goes to this length to hide a treasure they want to remove later. Especially to almost forensically clean up after them selves. What ever was done here was never meant to be found and perhaps the best thing to do is to recognize and respect that intelligent humans made that decision long ago for a reason and to leave it that way.

I have a friend of a friend who works on the show and this year. They realize they need a huge earth mover and they will bring it in from Russia. Somehow Templar Knights discovered a way to dig down the depths of an 8 storey building with teaspoons. They dig down and remove so much dirt the island falls apart and floods into a swampy ooze. Giving up they spend the rest of their life savings on a stolen nuke and they vaporize Nova Scotia. A nuclear swamp monster comes alive who stalks and terrorizes at night and a whole new spin off show is created. Wooden splinters from the explosion float down as far as New Jersey. The old series is forgotten.

@@tinkeringclaws5559 That is what's so frustrating about this this show. I watch none of the other "shows" on this channel--- only this one. I "try" to watch this show in an attempt to get information on this mystery/age-old riddle that I have been following since 1962. There are many things and findings regarding Oak island that are NOT talked about on this show. Unfortunately, this show is NOT a Documentary about Oak island but rather, it is a sensation-oriented "ENTERTAINMENT" Reality TV show that is not about getting answers or solving the mystery. If they got answers and solved the Oak Island mystery, the show would conclude and that would not be good for History Channel.

They waste a lot of time...every time they find something, they travel to get it checked; then they just go on the other side of the island with a metal detector and look for stuff. How about they just focus on the cove, the pit and the swamp, all they do is jump around and it’s getting frustrating to watch anymore. 🙄

having read the original article in Readers Digest on Oak Island in 1965 at age 12 on a summer trip to an aunt's house ( in a fit of boredom on a rainy day I might add), it was analogous to Treasure Island to me with endless possibilities to a barely adolescent brain. Yes, I have followed the show religiously since it first aired and, yes, it mucks along at times, but it is indisputable that something of significance did occur on that miniscule nondescript chunk of rock and dirt sitting in the ocean. For all the naysayers out there, I can offer one piece of advice to you, just change the channel on your television.

@@electromarcin5659 Don't depend on this "ENTERTAINMENT" Reality TV show if you want a comprehensive history on this Oak Island saga. There are two, one-hour (albeit dated) Documentaries and books on the subject and I have been personally following the Oak island mystery since 1962. To begin to answer your inquiry, the symbols on the alleged 90-foot stone uncovered in 1804 (i.e. said to be Tifinagh or Berber from around the time of Christ) indicate that whatever was deposited deep underground at Oak Island is ancient. Also, Oak island was the ONLY island in Mahone Bay that had oak trees and those oak trees were "canopy oaks" that were non-indigenous to North America--- they were from the eastern Mediterranean Region and/or North Africa and, when fully grown would have stood out and been clearly visible on the horizon for any ship sailing in from the east--- the canopy oaks were clearly an ancient landmark to guide the ships to the island--- more proof that Oak Island is ancient. Those canopy oaks are clearly seen in old archival Oak island photos. None of the canopy oaks remain today. What I am getting at here is, Oak Island is ancient. Thousands of years ago, Oak Island WAS NOT an island but was part of the mainland. Sea levels were much lower in ancient times and at least two (2) cave/niche entrances to Oak Island apparently existed providing access under the island to the caverns which are now underwater. Those cave/niche entrances are also underwater today. Bathymetric maps prepared by the Canadian government (Geological Survey of Canada) back in the 1990's show these two apparent underwater anomalies as well as an ancient shoreline(s) that is underwater today. The topography around Oak Island was a lot different upwards of two thousand years ago. I hope this helps. Sorry so Lengthy!

@@electromarcin5659 Two other things--- First, one of the pieces of human bone that was found deep underground that was verified to be from a person of Middle Eastern descent was later confirmed by a forensic scientist to be from a FEMALE! This latter fact was NOT INCLUDED in any of the regular episodes of the show. That fact was "buried" in an Oak island special episode shown at the beginning of this Season 7. And I do not believe that the bone was from "... a female pirate", and the fact that the bone was from a female raises some unsettling possibilities as to who the bone might belong to, especially if "whatever it is" buried deep underground is an ancient tomb. Second, the strange symbols on the 90-foot stone were found "face down" in the Money Pit when the stone was uncovered, indicating that the symbols/inscription were not meant to be seen by anyone digging down into the Money Pit. Rather, the symbols were apparently meant to be seen by someone who was BELOW the last log platform below the 90 foot level. It is my belief that this proves that the 90-foot stone was a "capstone" of sorts for a tomb--- similar to what is sometimes found in ancient Middle Eastern tombs. There has probably been treasures on Oak island at one time or another throughout the ages, but I believe that the Money Pit area contains an ancient religious tomb of someone VERY PROMINENT in history and was buried in such a way that it was never meant to be recovered by anyone.

The gold doubloons were traded for luxury commodities like spices and silks in the Orients. The history of the Spanish gold doubloons was also closely tied to the infamous pirate legends. The big sea vessels and merchant ships were always in danger of pirate attacks because they were loaded with gold doubloons and silver reales. It was common to find Spanish doubloon coins in pirate loots. The marauding pirates also traded the doubloons in other places for seafaring supplies and ammunition. Let me give you an analogy as to the mind-boggling "buried box drain/flood tunnel booby trap and underwater cavern(s) phenomena that has been found up at Oak Island over the past 200+ years. Oak Island is just like the "NIGHT" paper bus transfers on the TTC ("Toronto Transit Commission") in Toronto, Ontario CANADA. All day long, the word "NIGHT" is not at the top of the transfers. At dusk, the word "NIGHT" magically appears on the transfers! How did they attach the word "NIGHT" to the serrated top of the paper transfers after it was not there from morning til' evening??? The answer is--- There were never two sets of bus transfers to begin with. The word "NIGHT" was on ALL the paper transfers from the very beginning and the bus operators just tore them off the top throughout the day until dark when they would leave them attached to the paper transfers to be used at night. Voila! Mystery solved! It's the same thing with Oak island. The Geological Survey of Canada (a federal agency of the Canadian government) stated in the 1990's that sea levels surrounding Oak Island are rising at the rate of 30 centimetres (12 inches) every one hundred years. The bathymetric charts produced by said Geological Survey confirmed this by showing ancient shoreline(s) found in Mahone Bay adjacent to Oak Island and possibly two (2) "now submerged" cave/niche entrances that apparently go under Oak Island. As in the above mentioned TTC example, the structures and purported box drains found near the shoreline and anything deposited deep underground at Oak Island (e.g. the Money Pit) was accomplished when sea levels were much lower, when certain geological features at Oak Island were high and dry, and those water levels gradually rose over possibly two millenia after the original depositors were long gone. Sorry so Lengthy!

The biggest disappointment is that I have to buy season 7 to see more than the trailers. The reason I even visit KZbin is because: 1) No TV 2) No cableTV service 3) Limited funds that doesn't support 1&2 Can we please have at least one program that is both interesting and of such quality that it stimulates the intellect without corporate greed gouging us for it?

@Aleta Schulz Unfortunately, that won't happen until a no-nonsense, serious, multi-episode Documentary on the subject of Oak Island is produced. There are two really great one-hour documentaries that were made in 1997 and 2000 that give the complete history of Oak Island, etc..., but those documentaries are somewhat dated given everything that has been found/uncovered in the past twenty years up there.

For decades they have been able to find Oil all over the Planet , Under the Ocean's at incredible depths , and in deserts , and in every imaginable type of wilderness . But for some some reason these men cannot find buried Treasure on this Island after how many years of digging and drilling ? I think it is safe to say and very clear that they are digging in the wrong place .
@johnwoa
@johnwoa 5 жыл бұрын
@David Joe No, they are not "digging" in the wrong place. I believe that the folks at History Channel, etc... have a pretty good idea what is buried or entombed beneath Oak Island but they are not saying anything publicly because of the non-disclosure agreements, provincial and federal government involvement and other reasons unknown to us gentle TV viewers.

I use to watch this show all the time but after a while I started to scream at my tv at the stupidity of it. I swear that in one month I could of had everything blocked off and dig into those flood tunnels. They know where to find the blocked off tunnels so dig into them dig around them just dig. And I bet if they drain those large pipes that they have the water will drop down a lot now. The swamp still needs to be blocked off and dig out in the one corner. And don’t they realize that the ocean levels where a lot lower back then 200 feet at least.

Could this piece of wood come from a ship? Could it be related to the stone road, or the money pit? Is this possible? The map shows there are dozens of tunnels criss crossing the island and they can't find one and it's the booby trapped flood tunnel! Keep on drilling, digging and dreaming!
