@@Chelah45 Exactly! Even back in the 1990's, the Geological Survey of Canada based at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia was doing extensive research with a Government of Canada research vessel in the waters of Mahone Bay immediately adjacent to Oak island and, when they made unexpected discoveries, it raised more questions than answers. One thing the Geological Survey determined was that the sea level surrounding Oak Island is rising at the rate of 30 centimetres (12 inches) every one hundred years, so sea levels were much lower two thousand years ago and two cave/niche entrances, detected on bathymetric maps that were produced, would have been ABOVE the mean high water line allowing for access beneath the island! With the steadily-rising sea level over the millennia, everything is now completely submerged and inaccessible. Oak Island is a true enigma! Sorry so Lengthy.

I had more interesting things going on in realtime. But as far as "so much runtime for so little discovery" on Oak Island ... I would like to suggest that you see if you can find out how much actual camera rolling goes on, for Oak Island, compared to how much of it is AIRED for us to watch. Purty sure you'd be more appreciative of how many hundreds of hours go in to taping Oak Island, compared to how many are ultimately televised. I'm betting that there is a WHOLE LOT of "tape" that we viewers never have to see, with shoveling and driving from area to area, and on and on. If you want instant gratification, go watch a cartoon. This show flows like molasses in wintertime! You can miss two seasons, and be caught up with one show by the repetition of the programming. Nothing like a show, that squeezes the sponge with a vice, to get the last drop out of it! There's an island! Now how many times have we heard that? Just about as many as we have heard the flashbacks of past episodes, in the new episodes. It's not like they have 640 acres for a target! However, Montezuma's gold, is just as mysterious, go try your luck there! Whatever happens, is they finally have enough new material, that the entire episode has nothing but new footage. The sun is starting to set on my enthusiasm, for the show. Just like this was a click bait add, for viewers. Why did I click, posted one day ago. I keep forgetting one day ago, could be years, in the curse of oak island time zone. Foolish me, thinking something néw, clicking and going oh yea, that's why I don't catch every episode.

And yet, that is not what they HAVE been finding. But it very well could be that the gold that was suggested to be there in the early stories, was long ago found and spent. That doesn't matter to me. I LOVE seeing all that they've uncovered, from the fragments of hand made china, to bobby dazzlers and pottery from hundreds of years ago. I would have been totally disappointed if the Laginas had stopped after the first year. You can be off by no more than five feet. I have inside information! HINT: Principles of Civil, Mining and Marine Engineering will be employed. Oh, BTW, the "Big dig" might not even be started this year (2021) because of the out-of-control health crisis in Canada with Lockdowns and the Canada / U.S. border closure continuing. @@Chelah45 They may have dug for more than just 8 hours. The thing is land masses change due to rain. I go to a particular location, and it changes every year I go. The rock wall on the Canyon walls fall off though erosion of dirt and gravel changes well. Consider this if it's not rain, the the wind also blows in sand and it itself would cut the Canyon wall as well. The Sahara Desert 🏜 sand travels from Africa to Cuba and Florida on a Jetstream due to winds, which becomes settlement along the Atlantic Ocean. This is the Reason Atlantic Ocean is not as deep as the Pacific Ocean

How do they know that this is a piece of the treasure. I guess any women who lived on oak island didn't have any jewelry or only owned cheap stuff. Could it be from the money pit? If so how did it get here? Why was it found where it was now? I believe it was planted there by Gary the night before and Rick and Marty knew. They are trying to get the TV audience interested again. Is it possible that the Curse of Oak Island is just a fairy-tale? Be sure to tune in next week as Rick and the gang pull out more bits and pieces from the swamp and spend hours standing around discussing a spike that Gary just yanked from his foot.
