My late father followed the stories and history of this island and I remember him saying. Whatever was there is long gone and the current treasure hunters are only finding things left or dropped when rest was removed by pirates or previous treasure hunters .

Yes the sea beached the box and yes it's a flooded vault, BUT that parchment/that bookbinding.... All that came out was in tact aside from dirll damage. This box got breached maybe 5 times Maxx....but that box has more than half a foot of valuables in it - a LOT of those valuables are still in tact.

The reason its called Oak Island? Huge oak trees there, not native to the island, or the mainland. The only other place these oak trees grow? North western Africa. How did they get there? It's a shame they're all harvested now. And I'm convinced they were planted.

@Wayne Gouin Of course they were deliberately planted! The people with this show are feigning ignorance regarding the non-indigenous oak trees. There was just one (1) of these oaks remaining on Oak Island in the late-1990's and no one is coming out and saying whatever happened to it so its wood, acorns, etc... can be forensically examined by Arborists to determine its species and origin. This Reality TV show doesn't want to get definite answers or solve any mystery because to do so would end the show and no one would be making HUGE sums of money anymore. The oak trees... towering "Canopy Oaks"... which are not found on any of the other 360+ islands in Mahone Bay, were planted on Oak Island by ancient peoples from the Mediterranean Region/Middle East to serve as landmarks to find the island because upwards of two thousand years ago, there were "no apartment buildings or hotels" on the ocean horizon for sailing ships to look for in order to find Oak Island when sailing in from the east and up along the coast. The ancient mariners located Oak Island by spotting the cluster of towering Canopy Oak trees on the horizon.

There’ve been a few things that appear anomalous to the location (coconut fiber in the flood tunnels strikes me as something pretty unusual, as well as flood tunnels). But so far, no one has the resources to rip up about half the island down to several hundred feet so it’s, dare I say, “problematic” to find something earth-shaking. But treasure/gold fever burns bright in the minds of man. Always will.
