I was a huge fan for years. I would be genuinely excited to watch each week. Around season 8 or 9 it just started feeling like they're just dragging us along for as long as they can. I think if anything was there, it was found and quietly removed long ago. Now they're just out there poking holes in the earth.

If they find the treasure what are they going to do? It would be similar to a hero beating an arch nemesis; the story would be over. They wouldn't make any more money because people wouldn't tune in to watch them find little trinkets on Oak Island.

We sure the "stone road" is not an ancient cofferdam? You build that, you drain the small corner of the swamp inside of it. You bury the treasure in there, doesn't have to be that deep. You cover up the dam with dirt and debris. Then you open a gap in the dam and let the swamp water come back in so that it completely conceals the dam. One argument against the idea that it is a road is that, as Marty points out in this episode (16:00), if you need a road, you just build it several feet away, just outside the swamp. If you have a heavy treasure to unload, why would you build a road through the swamp, leaving a clue, instead of just driving the wagons around it? You don't need a road, but you do need a cofferdam, according to this theory, which does need to be concealed.

Astonishing that Billy personally knew Premier Huston and got him and his wife to visit and possibly start greasing the skids of government inertia. This show has done a lot to put Nova Scotia on the mind map of Americans who come to visit the museum and drop money at local motels and restaurants. Hopefully the provincial government will provide funds to sponsor a proper archaeological dig in the Red Zones involving First Nation persons in the project. That would be a win-win for everyone.

The vertical tunnel and angled tunnel out to the Ocean. Is a ventilation system for a mine shaft system. The water..up and down will exchange the air in the tunnels. Possible living structures. Or a bigger tunnel system.. than we can see. But the cave is big. So Possibly they were also working underground. So fresh air. Would be required. Burnd fule. Or melted mettle. Needs air also. So a natural billows for a Or fernus.

So whats wrong with the idea that a 1000 years ago, their was a ship building/fishermans wharf, and cargo port, here.... like todays building construction, they would continuously build and improve upon it.....because, the man power to dig tunnels, 240 ft deep , and parralel tunnels, supposedly 120 ft , deep, leading into shaft....theres no way it was possible, unless this was discovered, already here, from the ANNUNAKI, pre-flood Mariners, who once roamed the earth...or this was a ship factory and village, that they had a lifetime to work and dig, in tunnel....it just doesn't make any sense....look what they have to do, just to dig it out that deep...??? So HOW could anyone have done this 1000 yrs ago

It's an archeological dig because they're under restrictions and they can only do so much. The drilling program this month or rather this year was supposed to take several months so they could pinpoint the water distribution in the money pit. It gets me when people think that this is a show that should just show that they found it all of a sudden.
