Such A great game, it's simple, deep & involved, probably short of Metro 2033 & Exodus, has become an absolute favorite in A VERY short time. Thanks for this! I hadn't really played in years after trying it on GamePass and just bought it on Steam. I still remembered a tiny bit, but forgot loads (plus new things no doubt) so it took me quite a bit longer. But even then, I was able to follow these instructions to completion before it ended. 12:30 Dig a tunnel in the hillside. Create a small room towards the back. The Small spiders will eventually clip through the earth into that space, and you can unload an entire magazine directly into their face if you need to - My Multitool had a damage potential of around 12,500 after checking it with the S-Upgrades in different configurations. The little ones fell in just a few shots, less than one full magazine for sure. The nice part is that the Big Boys can clip through the earth into the little hole you created, too. Which means you can empty your entire magazine into their face, without losing any damage to the horrendous recoil of the Pulse Spitter. The big fellas were about a magazine and a half. The most tedious part of this fight was actually coming out of my little bolt-hole and using my Jetpack so they would see me and start coming closer! I don't think at any point I was fighting more than 2 of the small spiders.

Already finished it yesterday on PC, my third platform. Lemme tell you, the difficulty is NOT the same across platforms. At least, that's what it feels like. I got my butt handed to me with the 8 arachnos on PC. I still watch your guides tho 😀

On PS4 it was manageable on the first weekend, so with a little ellbowgrease and patience it is easy Without the Bug it would be to easy. Only the dissapering pet is sad.

Same thing happened to me on PC. Died many times at the arachno part. Seems like the Expedition is a tad harder on PC compared to past Expeditions.

I've definitely felt this too. I play on PC, but on PS5 at a friend's house periodically. The only thing that makes it odd tho, is that he has a perfect multitool. I don't. But that's only on one character. Most of the time I find console easier despite identical settings.

If anyone gets to a portal and it gives you the standard interface, check that your elixir of blood is not in your ship. I wasn't paying attention to where I made it and the portal only looks in your exosuit. Also, you might have made the wrong one accidentally.

11:45 Make sure you have the step in the Expedition selected. Spent 20 minutes trying this and that. *If you don't have the Milestone selected* - you get the standard Glyph interface!

I had to restart this expedition because of a multiplayer bug where the quicksilver elixir wouldn't pop... My friend on console is able to continue just fine but not for me on PC lol. Thanks for the guide, I finally got the milestone.

why waste time fighting the abysmal horrors? You'll likely get 4 hypnotic eyes from doing the derilict freighter.

If you have trouble finding water that is deep enough, but you find water that is ALMOST deep enough, whip out the terrain manipulator and dig down, and then level out once you hit bedrock. You can get another 10 U if you are lucky.

The arachnid one was the hardest one for me, I just kept dying.. But then I found an arachnid already next to a Dissonance Resonator with just 2 'body guards', so I made a base there, got rid of them, then killed the arachnid. I ran to my ship a and saved and reloaded when the waves of them got too much.

On my first run through I kept looking for them but it took forever, not all Dissonance Resonators had the big corrupted quads. On my 2nd run through I found a Dissonance Resonator with a corrupted quad, put my ship close, made a save beacon and deep L tunnel. Then I'd kill the quad, run into the tunnel until the sentinels deactivated. Then I'd get into my ship and blasted straight up until I was out of the atmosphere. Then land next to the save beacon, the quad will respawn, just repeat 8 times. If you accidentally destroy the resonator, nothing respawns. This was quicker than running around looking for the quads. I had a bug where if I destroyed the corrupted sentinels and the level went up, I'd get a real quad, then a minotaur, then a walker. Shut down the planet for a few hours.

this is to hard trying to kill the spiders i have sprent one day trying to killt them i die evertime .i have to give up i cannot complete the exhibition so no new ship for me i have followerd your instructions but im not skilled enoughth to do it

You could kill them with your ship, or with a Pillar chart obtained from elsewhere. Other ppl have found the Mech AI with Paralysis Mortar helps, or using a Neutron Cannon to 2-shot them. I'd certainly wait until R4 to start their combat, as IME the Pulse Spitter's Igniter module helps a lot, but YMMV

did each of the stations I went to had derelict ships floating right outside...trouble was three of them were glitched, one the door wouldn't open and two of them I fell through the floor when I went inside.

How are you doing the quadraped quest? Whenever I kill the corrupt sentinels, regular sentinels spawn. Killing the resonators doesn't do anything other than give me the reward, if there are corrupt sentinels around it, they don't react., It's really strange. Is my save corrupted or something?

You need to stare at the night sky for 60 seconds straight. As the anomaly suppressor being lower means time moves faster, it needs to be somewhat high for the night to last long enough. Focusing the milestones by clicking it will allow for the tooltip to show you when it's working and counting

i carnt kill these huge spiders i die evertime im using the scatter blaster but mine does not shoot out blue bullets like yours do i have 3 sclass upgrades im not going to be able to finish this if i carnt kill the spidersi found a base were they always are but i still carnt kill them i just die evertime

It's the pulse spitter used in the video, the scatterblaster is more of a shotgun, a different weapon

The expedition subsave is a separate layout with set upgrades when you start, it won't affect you main saves layout etc

On PS4 it was done on one weekend. Used the minotaurus robot ubgraded only with the canon. I marked a ruin in he last system with three Signals, maybe that helps someone. The disapering pet is sad, but the other Bug saved it from beeing to easy.

One issue, I entered the anomaly and when I exited it warped me back to the faze 2 area, how do I get back to the faze 3 system, I didn't go to the station yet.

I got the fish from the frozen anomaly planet in the same system. Something I noticed was the the fish are no longer listed as irradiated, must be the recent small update. On my second run, I got everything done in the first 3 systems, except the portal jumps to system 4 and 5. And killing the final boss. I had a lot of trouble landing near the boundary failure, there is a base with the landing pad nearby though. Finally, I found you can talk to Child of Helios in each system, or at least it will say something. Seems to be lonely.

Because i didnt mark the first portal and i got a map to locate a new portal (figured any portal would work) but when i interact with the portal it doesnt have option for blood elixir. just normal portal load gylph stuff. im just soo done.....

It is random yes, unless you get a certain bug, which I kept having, this bug gave my mt the same supercharged slots as the one on the save i started the expo from, which were all perfect cubes

The worst part was those damn quad walkers which you have to kill 8 of. The little ones didn't count and that big one always gets shielded and healed by the sentinels which seemed bugged now as they don't go away. Ever! Even when you dig down or go in a building they just stay there. The corrupted ones that is. Haven't had an issue with normal sentinels. Do yourself a favor and get the plasma launcher when fighting these stupid bugs or better yet bring a maxed out Minotaur. Little buggers were a bigger pain than the main boss.

If we brought the 600 tainted metal through the Anomaly, could we skip that freighter mission? After doing a few of them they're dull and annoying to me :) I already finished the expedition, but am considering doing it again, as it's the most unique one I've played so far. Edit: taking enough tainted metal does auto-complete that milestone once you get it from the Anomaly.

Don't know about skipping the derelict freighter part, but I can confirm that bringing tainted metal through the Anomaly got me the "Metal Bones" milestone immediately when I claimed the metal.

I ended looking for them from my ship and then I got lucky that there were 4 all within very short walking distance from each other. I was also annoyed by the alien artifact one. I kept getting monoliths.

I would say so aye. This particular guide does leave a few things to "basic knowledge" that you pickup by having played for a bit, but not often and the game tooltips and own guidance would make up for it

The expeditions are guided, accelerated (they just give you stuff), and have a definitive endpoint. It's hardly different than starting a run of a roguelike, except it helps you out because of the fresh start.

You don’t have to start a new game, you can run the expeditions from your main save

The Expedition gives you rewards you can claim from any save on the same platform, so no need to 'start a new game' to get them in your main save: just complete the Expedition (with a new start) & abandon that save once it's done
