Good choice in not passing the transit bus. A couple years ago in Huntington, WV. a TTA transit bus let someone off at a bus stop on (I think it was) 3rd Ave and 20th St intersection. She didn't look for cross traffic, walked in front of the bus to cross the crosswalk, as soon as she walked past the front of the bus a vehicle hit and killed her. She was a Marshall University student. The city of Huntington, WV. has now lowered the speed limit from 35mph to 25mph. Around Marshall University on 5th Ave and 3rd Ave. Everyone still flies down the roads. Thank you for trucking. Safe travels, Dave.

In my island there isnt much big truck carry goods from other parts of the world because we mostly produce our own food, spices, fruit, water, etc. Unlike most american cities which they are big food desert that have to rely on other parts of the world/regions for food n supplies.

Have you ever wondered, why does my car feel so luggish? Then it hits you! I'm in a truck 🙃 Not to long ago I was sitting in my car to the right of the auto parts store front waiting for their parts delivery truck. I had had a special order of parts for my old '64 Impala. I watched a lovely lap riding secretary dismount her BMW convertible and enter the store. It wasn't long before she left the store with bag in hand. she reached in and popped the engine hood, opened it, grabbed a quart of oil from her bag, opened it and proceeded to pour the oil all over the top of the engine 🤣 OMG.

Hey Dave, I dont know much about trucking but why do you sometimes operate the parking brakes like you do at 13:44?

In that case he just pulled the yellow, which is tractor only. Pulling the red evacuates all of the air in the trailer. Releasing air from the system locks the brakes. Really, the only reason you would leave the air supplied to the trailer is for time savings, because in some cases it takes a good bit of time to refill the system in the trailer.
