Sadly these seem to have had a fairly major price hike. The sticker price is $3.6k now. CSC looks better on paper and is still in the $2.5k price range.

Great video. I was curious about these bikes and I believe they would make a good cheap urban commuter. I would consider buying a Braap If they made a bike that was capable of daily commuting on the Western Highway.
@TwistgripTales2 жыл бұрын
They are a great little bike but highway top speed is marginal in standard kit. There is a hot up kit available from Michael Bee at smechanical in Canberra that gives a great performance upgrade and comfortable highway cruising speeds. Cheers Bruce

I want one but am in the states. I’ve emailed them but looks like I’ll have to work out the time difference and hope someone answers the phone. Crossing fingers it won’t be the price of the bike to get one up here. Probably cost prohibitive but there had been word of a North American dealership (?) . Canada maybe ? I’m a day trip away from Vancouver . Sorry , I’m rambling while knowing that you’d likely not know . Fantastic video with heaps of much appreciated information ! Thanks !

Hi Lisa, these bikes are a cg125 Honda copy and are sold in USA They aren’t called Braaap in the US. So look around. The are great little learner and around town commuter bikes. As we’ve found can be hotted up and make amazing little racers. Happy hunting Lisa Cheers Bruce

Great review, how much would the up keep cost on these if they need to serviced a lot?
@TwistgripTales3 жыл бұрын
Hey Ric, thanks for watching. Service every 3000kms is the recommendation. Oil and tappets critical reliability & performance. As a single - the vibration can loosen nuts n bolts. Good old British vintage bike love and attention is all that's required. It's not Japanese! They need love. Just sayin'

What would you say would be the minimum height for riders to ride this?
@TwistgripTales Жыл бұрын
The ST250 has a very low saddle height but if you are a new rider you need to test ride. Like a suit, you need to try before you buy. Happy safe riding

Looking at getting one of these. Have you had the guts to take it on the motorway? Curious if it will reach 100kmh
@TwistgripTales3 жыл бұрын
They will do 100kph. But in good tune. Fast parts are available to get a little bit more They are a great little machine needing regular maintenance and a little love Thanks for watching
@linusadhikariABG3 жыл бұрын
I don't know if you already got it, but I bought this 2 weeks ago and I got to 100kmph on long highway. I was riding it from waurn ponds to Melbourne. But in local highways it's taking time to get 100. I guess after tuning I won't have that problem.

First time watching, any chance you've had experience with a CSC SG250 to compare the two?
@TwistgripTales2 жыл бұрын
Hey Baron Easy to do a comparison Baron because they are the same engine. Based on the Honda cg125. We’ve done a bit of work to get this sort of performance but they are really great little machine with a lot of vintage charm. With sporty performance to be unleashed. Cheers Bruce

@TwistgripTales4 ай бұрын
Hi James. They are are a Honda copy cb125f with 2 valves operated by pushrods not ohc and probably the last motorcycle in the world with a carbie. A lovely motorcycle and with some work on the engine mine now holds the class Land speed record Thanks for watching
@Thechist7812 жыл бұрын
Well, my thoughts are that this is a bike for people who like to spend more time with a wrench than actually riding it.
@TwistgripTales2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Dribbler The ST250 is very reminiscent of the 1950’s n 60’s and all the class and styling that goes with that era. It’s a single so you do need to be mindful of loose nuts n bolts but it is a joy to ride. Extraordinarily economical. Add a Michael Bee hot up kit and it not only looks sporty but performs so well your face will hurt from smiling so much. Follow us to the salt lake where we’ll see how fast these little beasts can go? and maybe just maybe set an Australian Land Speed Record on the way Cheers Bruce
