Can’t make any promises but will keep an eye out for those stories. Send more titles from that era that you might be looking for.

Also “American Gothic Gone Mad” that’s a story I’ve been trying to find for a looooonnnngg time. There’s a video on KZbin that has about the first 3 minutes of it and it sucks because its such a little tease, that story insane I can only imagine what the 60 minutes segment is like.

Our family has a horror story from this school system around this time. Very abusive and yes the school board did nothing.

I have to agree with your timeline. Ironically, I think the use of film allowed much greater freedom with editing so I miss that. You can also identify the Don Hewitt era because the stories are so well told and edited with a beginning, middle and end. And those original corespondents were such fine writers.

Exactly!!! They are so well put together. The stories are just so much more exciting. The art in the beginning of the segment to the verbiage and language they use is just so intriguing. I mean Dan Rather dressed up as an Afghan and smuggled(him and his film crew) into Afghanistan and back into Pakistan to follow the resistance against the Russians. He risked his life during every second of that story. And that’s just one of the amazing stories. There’s so many more that are just as good too

That was a good one. I w been looking for this segment for at least 7 months now. I spend a good deal of time combing the internet/KZbin/Vimeo and other sources for segments/episodes of 60 Minutes between the years of 1968-Early 2000’s. Most of the stories covered after about, oh I’d say 2004/05 are just so boring to me. There’s a few that are pretty good but for the most part I don’t bother much with anything after 2003/04. I hope I don’t sound greedy because I know your already putting a lot of time and effort into this channel and I couldn’t appreciate it more. If it’s not too much bother I wanted to ask if you could keep your eyes peeled for a couple specific pieces they did, these are pieces I’ve been trying to find for 3 years now of researching this show. The one I’m most intrigued by is the one about Otto Skorzeny, the Title to the segment is “The Most Dangerous Man in Europe”(1968). The next one is called “Canadas Dark Secret”(1997) also “Werner Erhard”(1991) “Heavens Gate”(1997) last one “The Man Who Armed Iraq”(1991). I know your already spending a lot of time and effort finding the videos that you have so please don’t go out of your way but if they happen to pop up when your lookin for something else I would most certainly appreciate those videos as well as any and all of your videos. Idk about you but to me finding a new 60 minutes episode is like finding a Michael Jordan rookie card that’s in mint condition. Anyways thank you for reading this if you did, I hope all is well for you and thank you again for the great videos!

FYI - I did try uploading the Werner Erhard piece, but it was not accepted. I then read about him on Wikipedia and that explained everything. Will keep a look out for the other stories.

@@AndThatstheWayItWasNewsArchive Darn! It used to be on Bitchute but then it disappeared one day. It’s a very interesting piece and that’s too bad it wasn’t accepted. Thank you for making the effort I really appreciate it. I wish there was more I could do help you with this channel
