Thanks for the truck engine sounds. That is the best part of having a cdl. I too have a bed and chair hogging dog and I too have to sit on the floor sometimes. Dogs are truly man's best friend. Keep on trucking.

Forgot to add a scale story I had. I hauled non-ferrous metal loads on an open trailer. Never thought to weigh the loads, trusted the warehouse that loaded the truck. Pulled onto the scale . Next I heard a voice asking if I ate supper? I asked why and heard a chuckle and he read the weight. I was 79,997 pounds gross. Wow, I replied " no wonder the truck felt a little bit sluggish". He chuckled again and sent me on my way. I am always polite to those guys, they are just doing a job, just like me.

I guess they do get some of the junk trucks but I think the scales and the dot are mostly state revenue agents. I absolutely have to idle or have an apu to sleep good. Drove a Coronado glider with a Detroit 60 the owner told me to idle about 800 rpms otherwise I might wash the pistons. Loved idling that truck.

Porter greetings! Yahoo! 😎 The highway scenery was quite beautiful…then came the interstate. 😳I love backroads sometimes…all the beautiful scenery and such. 🤩 I think everyone gets a little nervous when they say, Driver, please pull in. Who wants to be detained even for 20 minutes or so for that, but they are doing their jobs, and hopefully nothing more. Well, what else did ya find out about your heat…tap on that thermostat a couple of times and see if that changes anything…oh, don’t use the big hammer! LOL! 🧐 I like your cereal…for the big kid in you!! 🤩 Stay safe and we’ll keep you in prayer, as always. Hey, I pray for you and your family every day!! If that means anything. Scalehouse experience is varied... Depends on the State, and the person running any particular scale... If they were fighting with the wife this morning and they're in a crappy mood, it can be rough. If they are cheerful, good mood, willing to give a little slack, much better.

Those sleepers can really be nice during a gentle rain. Better to be running cool than too hot. I knew you would pass inspection. Trying to keep the roads safe. We had a patrol car hit by a semi that crossed the fog line on the interstate near me. No one hurt but I still can't understand how someone cannot see 2 patrol cars with full lights going. Went from heavy rain and thunderstorms to ice and snow within an hour here in WI. So many places didn't fair very well. Good to see you safe at home. Stay safe and God bless.

In a 6 week period I was pulled into the scales for inspections 6 times between Minnesota and Tennessee, after asking for the stickers to show I had passed, and recieving rude answers I finally got a sticker on the 6th inspection, my company paid me 300 dollars for passing all the inspections. Always kept my Logs and Binder of paperwork immaculate and orderly, the worst thing you want to do is go inside with a bag of smashed, coffee stained or torn and folded paperwork.

You got off easy Kurt. Years ago I'd come home from Denver empty.....every week....same ol' same ol' routine. We lived & ran out of Kansas, yet EVERY week...the little old ladies at the Kanorado, Ks (population 150 +/-) P.O.E. would call us in to see our paperwork.....EVERY stinkin' week! That's ridiculous! I got tired of it and mentioned how we were doing the same ol' same ol' ....every week, it's the same thing, yet EVERY week they'd call me in. I'd ask "What is the problem??" She said "young man we're just doing our job! We see hundreds of trucks every day...we can't remember everyone'' It wasn't long before they got just as tired of me, as I was of them. Soon I started getting the green light......they never pulled me in after that.
