I did this on my 87 back in 92. I also drilled a hole and through bolted the front of the load spring to the arc spring to keep it from catching on things.

The fact you said might go lower is insane 😭 props man that's low
@junkyardhillbilly3 жыл бұрын
Lol you make it so hard all you need is a pair of vice grips bend that bracket spring out of the way and then you could put it back on if you had to and what are you talking about if you put the brackets back in the same spot the rear end doesn't go anywhere I've been lowering trucks for years but it sounded good though but I like how you're getting it down there now you're probably going to need some air shocks to get the butt end of it up off the ground I wouldn't have used the 4-inch blocks 3 in fine when you're going with mono with a 15 in rim and a 50-15-in tire but it should be interesting to see how your truck does I think it's going to be too low for legal purposes but with the air shocks you can add air to it but the truck's looking pretty good I like it keep up the great videos

Those round head leaf springs bolts locate the rearend and keep it from shifting. It’s not a good idea to run with them out of round: They could shear off...

What size rims are those it looks really good man. I've got the 2-3 drop kit by beltech and was thinking of slamming my truck just a little bit more so after watching this vid ill eliminate the same leaf and torsion the front on 15x10 and stretch some 195/50/15.

Does your Nissan z20 have a thermostat? I’m having overheating issues with my z24 engine and i don’t think it has a thermostat
@STONEBROKEGARAGE4 жыл бұрын
I don’t have a z20? Yes my z24 has a thermostat. If you didn’t have a thermostat it would make it hard for it to even warm up, if your overheating it could be a stuck thermostat or maybe bad head gasket.

Thanks i noticed it wanders a bit on the road is that normal for these i have the 2wd if that helps
@Captain7204 жыл бұрын
Shouldn't wander on the road, the trick to figuring that out is to have a buddy turn the wheel back and forth until it "grabs" and starts to turn while you watch the steering pieces. You will see the upper steering shaft turn and somewhere along the way it will have a loose component. Another common cause of wandering is using Toyota wheels that do not clear the front hubs. Also check your wheel bearings up front. Lift up one side of the truck on the front safely with a jack and wiggle. It shouldn't have any shimmy to it and if it does you can spot the loose component based on what wiggles and replace that piece.
