About The Daily Show with Jon Stewart:
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart was an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning program that looked at politics, pop culture, sports and entertainment through a sharp, reality-based lens. Stewart and The Best F#@king News Team Ever covered the day's top stories like no one, using footage, field reports and guest interviews to deliver fake news that was even better than the real thing.

Holy shit. How was Jon Stewart, and everyone he chose to work with, so capable of so succinctly covering a really complex topic and shrink it down into a completely understandable, clear point taken at the end segment, generally in 7 minutes or less. He was an artist. #WeMissYouJon

The only reason Bassem wasn't chosen was because he is too real. He is authentic in the sense that he knows chaos and revolution. Do you know how much power a show in America would give him, especially one like The Daily Show. The D.S. wanted to keep their paws away from a topic that is very serious and up on your face all the time.

Bassam Yaghmour As a matter of fact, pursuing any kind of interest in the politics of the middle east is - more or less - gonna end u up committing (mental/emotional/physical) suicide. All u have to do is to be a sane, logical person and then watch the news. All of the ARABIC news channels are identical copies of FOX news. I.e. their first priority is to mislead their viewers.
