I think Grimes is that dog youre looking for. Hes a hound on defense. He just happens to play the same position as Klay so theres a bit of a rotation issue. Grimes, Naji, and PJ are a pretty good perimeter combo though imo. Not quite Caruso and Dort but thats a pretty rare combo.

Second in the league in steals, 3rd in loose ball recoveries, 10th in deflections. And on top of that his offensive ability, you all are overeacting, remember this guy have led us to 1 conference final and 1 nba finals.

Luka took Mavs to the finals last season! Do not change him. It would be stupid to do so. If you need defenders bring them to the team. Mavs brough in Klay instead. Bruh

Luka is sadly hit or miss on defence, when he’s really trying it’s pretty good and when he’s frustrated it’s pretty lazy and distracted. When he is dialled in he does pretty well considering his lack in athletic ability. The okc game was sadly just an off night. If we had been at full strength it would have been a different game. The weak D isn’t so bad when Luka and Ky are putting up numbers, but in games like that when they are not it ends up being the difference. And we missed the added scoring of PJ. It’s also amazing how few times we got to the line. I really like the squad as is and wish we didn’t have to trade but Maxi not shooting anymore really makes me wish we had a good replacement for him, but Its hard bc I don’t really want to loose someone young like Hardy to get it. All in all we are still like 10/12 in the last dozen games which shouldn’t be forgotten, and loosing to the best squad when we have an off night is a good learning experience for when it counts come playoff time!

Thank you for doing this video, he has been killing this team being Lazy and Out of Shape…he takes no pride as a leader….no one will follow him or play hard for him….but they will for Kai….everyone can see this guy only wants to shoot that’s it….people have given him a pass for to long and now everyone is getting tired of his shit for real….it’s hard to watch…. I am not going to lie I Really Enjoyed watching the team play when Luka was OUT….Having talent around Luka exposes him for the player he’s NOT.

Hes the same Luka that led them to the finals this past year and past the 60 win Suns to the conference finals in 2022. I think hes easy to single out and he has particularly bad moments especially when hes frustrated. But hes the straw the stirs the Mavs drink. That being said it is telling that things seem to go south when guys like PJ are iut of commission. I dont think they can get over th le hump without Luka. But i also acknowledge they wont get over the hump without glue guys like PJ, Grimes, and Naji
