I myself am just now drinking tha last of my dalmore sigar malt without a sigar, cuz its been to long since i had a sigar and the bollte is only 2/10th full ( getting weaker by the week). Getting drunk i was looking at this and contemplating that no matter how much you pay for yor whiskey, it always comes out the same afterwards...but shit, it as 99 cents :p!

I'm a lite jealous about Mr Paterson's job, the opportunity to companion with all of this exquisite drinks and interesting people. But the most of all I envy Mr Paterson passion, the manner in which he familiarizes his viewers with all of this whisky craftsmanship. In my humble opinion Mr Paterson is perfect example how people should develop their passion and introduce it into everyday life. Cheers!

People drink whiskey because it gets them drunk. Some people have concerns over their image and don't want to come off as poor alcoholics, so salesman like Dalmore try to make getting drunk seem like an art form and lend it a sense of prestigiousness so that instead it can be transformed into a status symbol. So if you're a practical person, just buy some decent inexpensive vodka and call it a day. Clear alcohols get you drunk with less hangover because of the lack of impurities, and it goes better in drinks that actually tastes good... because frankly whiskey may taste interesting but not good. If you're self-conscious about your image, then spend more money for the marketing.

Nothing wrong with using e150 specially because only one pipet drop can color immensly, however id feel like if u use e150 you should put it on the bottle or cask, as for the 40% watered down part, nothing wrong with that if the taste is better this way then if the maybe had an over 50 % cask strenght, they probably tested the perfect strenght for this wisky and decided they liked it better softer

Absolutely adore Mr. Paterson for his passion and knowledge and drive to spread the word about great whisky. However this kind of bottle is a bit of a joke. £50,000. How much of that money is actually for the whisky? Maybe £500? The rest is on the silver stag, the special bottle, the box, the story and probably a lovely big payout for Richard and the team. This kind of bottling isn't for the whisky enthusiast or those who are passionate about Highland whisky or even the Dalmore whisky. This is for arrogant businessmen to have on a cabinet to show off to other arrogant businessmen.

Serious question. If a whisky is aged for 50 fucking years, doesnt it taste for like 99,9999999% of wood??
@mgoks47497 жыл бұрын
Harres Dirksen well it depends, wood is really hard ingredient to control, you can have 3 or 5 year old wiskys having more wood taste then 20 year old wiskys, it depends how big the vat is your using, how bigger, the longer it takes for everything inside to take the wood taste because there is less volume/cm wood, while a very small vat will take over real fast and age real fast, but this will result in a rushed proces for some that u can even taste the whisky was rushed, but yes this will probably have a big wood taste,but itchas been in 4 different vats so you will notice the very different flavours
