@Lord Protector, the dandy warhols come down is a great record, but a bit too long for my taste. 13 tales just felt more cohesive as an album and it's flow. They both have great songs though, so it's a tough one to decide. Side note, their 3 most recent records: this machine, distortland, and why you so crazy are actually very good. Not on the level of 13 tales, but such an improvement to odditorium and Earth to the dandys. Each one makes me more excited about the band again.

Michael Haring I agree, the D is the home chord & still dominates so it still feels minor even with the passing major chords... probably what draws me to this song. I do like the Dsus2 passing chord, which goes right back to D minor again. This is 1 of those songs I can hardly listen to without wanting to strum along on my acoustic ;-)

One of my favorite songs. Still remember seeing them at the Cats Cradle in Chapel Hill in 2006, one of the best. I got drunk and after the show told the guitar player that they are the "saviors of rock and roll", much to the amusement of my friends who still make fun of me about it.

I really like how the video carries that feeling of disconnectedness; it mirrors the strangeness of the musical arrangement. Love that abstract zone-out part in the middle of the song. There's something suggestive of David Lynch's films or Edward Hopper's paintings in it. Great track.

I listened to the DW’s on the radio back in the 1990s and only seeing video clips now in 2024. It occurs to me that the extras in the Godless videos look very much like those in Bohemian like you. Reminds me of a Saul Goodman commercial so it’s all very good. #GenX
