Located in Wahkhen village in East Khasi Hills District, Meghalaya, the Mawryngkhang trek is scary enough to make you rethink your decision to do the trek in the first place. But if you are able to do the trek, kudos to you. It is not called the Scariest Trek in Meghalaya for no reason. Let’s look at what makes it so scary.
Popularly known as the Bamboo Trail Meghalaya, the Mawryngkhang trek is a spectacular trek if you ignore everything and just look at the location. The place is unbelievably beautiful. Meghalaya’s mountain ridges and deep gorges are famous, and you will get to see them here.Don’t look down if you are afraid of heights. But then, if you don’t look down, you will be missing the gorgeous views of several natural pools big and small and stunning landscapes.
The locals have built this surprisingly strong bamboo bridge right on the side of the cliff.
