Where there is no prayer and fasting, there are demons. I try my best to continually pray the Jesus Prayer throughout the day and when i do the demons attack much harder, but the Jesus Prayer brings much comfort.

Where is the homily on neuroscience that is spoken of here where the idea the CUTTING ONES WILL MAKES THE BRAIN GROW? I’m very interested in that. As I age I’m noticing that if I can’t remember something, I actually ASK God to help me… and the memory for what I need at that moment just POPS INTO MY MIND! It’s such a comfort as I’m becoming more infirm in so many ways! I’d like to be able to cut my will more in a similar way… to let God direct me.. thank you!

Hello Metropolitan and thank you for your wisdom and sermons. I have a quick question? I’m currently at Subdeacon and I am in seminary to pursue the Diaconate. Is it possible to come to your church to see divine liturgy or just be in the presence of you holy monks and your beautiful church? Are laypeople allowed to come to your church? Not to serve but just to sit or stand during a service and pray together. I would love to come there sometime? If possible? I love your sermons and I love this KZbin channel. I listen to your wisdom on the way to work and whenever I get a chance driving. God bless you and your monks. Many years to all of you Metropolitan Demetrius.

Would someone coming from World Orthodoxy need to be re-catechized and re-chrismated or even re-baptized to be received into GOC-K?
@OrthodoxTradition5 күн бұрын
It depends. If you were not received properly by baptism, you would need to be baptized. The catechism is more or less the same depending on whether your priest believed in Orthodoxy (which is a very legitimate question).

I just pray to my Father, and I ask Him to send His angels to remove the evil ones. They get removed immediately. Personally, I would not trust any shimmering or light thing I see. They are counterfeits.

Do you have the findings of the brain growing when the will of one is cut? Thanks 😊. Also, how does one pursue life without vision (seen as fantasy). For instance…to see yourself do well on an exam, or to visualize the promotion or to just aim for something better. I need more on this, otherwise in this case the mentality to have no vision can lead to “give up” also affects the brain and the dopamine and can lead to addiction and other sins…this concerns me, as I want to grow in my endeavours but how do I do that without visualizing? Also to adapt, to grow, to expand as a servant of God? This needs to be explained better, otherwise people fall into the blame, shame, guilt to themselves and that is an attack of the Evil one and can lead people inti more sin. Also…pertaining to the Calendar change…and Bartholomew. I have no idea what goes on at the top, but it sounds like the devil has made his way in the Orthodox church as a whole…and being that I was born and raised in the Greek / Ukrainian Orthodox Church…what do I do as a layman? And those new Catechumens that are getting into the politics and taking sides is causing an issue. These “sides” seem demonic i. And of themselves. And now what do I do or feel or think with now that we had no choice but to be on the New Calendar? I am condemned? Too much confusion, and not enough resolve at the spiritual level. Lord Have Mercy on Me a Sinner!

We are not in Communion with Patriarch Bartholomew.
@rayneildoswanson94085 күн бұрын
@OrthodoxTradition is it possible for you guys to speak on this topic, especially if my church is in communion with them? Surely all Bishops have the same weight as the patriarch? Aren't they all meant to be first among equals?
@Unseen_warfare.5 күн бұрын
@@rayneildoswanson9408(Bartholomew is an open Ecvmenist. What communion does light have with darkness? Metropolitan Demetrius has spoken on this many times throughout the years. Staying in communion and under hërëtical bishops means you inherit the hërësy. The Saints teach us to flee them. The modern “elders” however do not teach what the Church has always taught.)

What if a person’s faith is misunderstood as an occult. Because he doesn’t know how to integrate into society.
