I love the ambience of this video. Beautiful porch. So cozy. You were right to go inside. With the thunderclouds looming so closely, a close lightning strike could lead to serious injury or worse, because you were surrounded by water. Keep on filming! :-)
@Bluethunderboom3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Nathalie. And yes, lightning is very dangerous and believe it or not, water is very conductive with electricity and I was pretty nervous out there since I was soaked with water to my feet and to my lower leg while I was wearing the yellow Crocks sandals so I don't get my shoes soak and wet while the front porch has a water puddle. Until when the lightning is getting up close both the right and left, I have to move inside immediately before I could get a jolt of lightning and move to the bathroom window and filming the backyard capturing the hail falling from the sky. And if I was ignoring the warning sign where there is a lightning strikes outside, I will surely get myself injured or facing a fatal situation by the lightning strike. And if I minded the warning sign, I will be safe from the dangerous lightning strike. And so I went inside the house and continue to film to the window while there is a severe weather out there.

That big maple tree had me nervous thought it would either fall on the house or get struck by lightning as some of those were not even 1 mile away
@Bluethunderboom4 жыл бұрын
I agree because, it would been suck if the lightning had got the tree split the wood causing tree to fall and damage the house, or when the strong winds has blow too hard and cause tree to uproot, it will damage the house. That would be a natural disaster done by Severe Storms.

Omg that lightning strike at 12:36 was really rather close to you.
@Bluethunderboom6 жыл бұрын
Yes. That's because I have to get back in the house for my own protection. No mater which place I'm filming outside, lightning can strike anywhere anytime soon, so best bet is to get inside immediately. The reason why is because I got soak and wet by rain, and I got water covered all around my feet at the front porch. I got to be extremely careful when filming outside. The truth is, water is highly conductive with electricity, it can be extremely dangerous to deal with the strong thunderstorms, and there for, it's not safe to be outside by watching about the storm, or filming about the storm. It's best bet to be inside away from thunderstorms until it's clear from the sky.

Very cool! Also a good point to make at the end of the description about not going out to film these things (Unless you're trained)
@Bluethunderboom7 жыл бұрын
That's correct because, I've seen number of people trying to capture the dangerous Severe Weather Events such as the Hurricanes, High Level Winds, Tornadoes, etc., Same thing as goes to like Hurricane Katrina back in 2000's where one of the TV News Cameramen, trying to capture the video of the force winds with the debris rolling and flying up in the air. Also another thing, in May 3, 1999, in OK, the man set the camera up in the living room at the window, filming the tornado. They successfully caught on camera and see what the tornado hit like inside the tornado.

Yeah around the 12: mark it was starting to get bad with the close CG lightning, the one bolt before u switched to the backyard was too close for comfort, Was that a supercell? Might have had some positive lightning, which is way more destructive and dangerous.

Biggest non event ever. Trees are not moving, not exactly a tornado or ‘killer’ hail is it? It’s basically just gentle rain.......
@leaf21803 жыл бұрын
@Conspiracy Nut Jobs Are Mentally Ill !!! if you've actually experienced a CAT 5 hurricane or an EF5 tornado then you'd know that this storm is nothing compared to them. This storm broke off a few small branches. Major hurricanes and strong tornadoes level houses, rip trees out of the ground, throw cars like toys, knock out power for weeks or months. So, no, this storm was not worse than a major hurricane or a tornado. But it was still interesting to watch.
