Fantastic! Taylor, I notice a serenity that hits when you sing S&G that has a meditative confidence that might be good to find in your own songs, with less struggle emotionally to convey. I say this from a heartfelt position and it is meant only as constructive criticism because the lyric and the tune does the work and you don't need to "sell" emotionally with your own work, it is the serenity factor and sureness you find with Paul Simon's work that you can explore applying that confidence that you will be understood, with your own. Very nice! One of my favorite songs. My parents bought this album when I was 4 years old (1966), and this song is one of the sweetest, saddest songs I’ve ever heard. When I was in kindergarten I could sing every word, but I had no idea what I was singing. Sometime in high school I realized… oh my God… this is about a relationship that has died.
