I agree that he was taken away and did not walk miles out into the desert. I suspect the top person of interest is the drill boss because his story makes little sense and seems to contain lies. He said he followed the tracks which he knew were daniels because the rain washed away all other tracks. but the rain had not occurred yet since he left in about 15 minutes. He says he "looked into his eyes and his pupils were not dilated" How in the hell would he have done that with black man and dark eyes where you cant see his pupils. He said "daniel asked if he wanted to go back to phoenix to "rest with him". IF he said that which is doubtful the boss man could have thought it suggestive. Daniel takes off and "buckles his seat belt and waves goodby" once again too much info and his seat belt was found still buckled in the jeep. Would he have instantaneously buckled his seat belt in remote spot with a mile or more to even get back to the road? but some buckle it and sit on it so beeper does not constantly go off. Daniel after driving off possibly hungover but says nothing like "leaving sick" or calling anyone to call in sick. The drill boss then "tracks him down and "went up to high spot" (what high spot?) to look out for him but saw nothing. If the drill boss is suspect and if Daniel was actually there for a couple or more hours and they did not get along and he stormed off drill boss then has a problem. they would report he was last to see him. Mysteriously an unknown person "passes word" to the father the a hunter or fed agent saw him in the wash "seemed normal and was "cleaning his jeep??" the motive for drill boss would be to leak out info somebody else saw him. but nobody knows who this person was. and what about this rain but now others appear in the area out in the rain to target practice. jeep was pristine--no mud anywhere even the tread had no mud no mud in wheel wells. But if drill boss story is right he had just left after the rain because all other tracks were washed away. Suppose Daniel was suicidal? yet all night that previous night gps on phone showed he made deliveries going back and forth from store to houses. This suicidal person having possible episode then shows up to work in work clothes and case of water clearly expecting day at work. The boss said he left immediately but then daniel instead of going home STAYS for hours in the desert for no reason in baking sun? I propose that Daniel was at the work site and something developed with the boss and was there MUCH longer than 15 minutes. The law DID grille the Ken Elliot once then a second time. but they cant prove anything with no body. Not sure what the phones of Daniel and work boss show if they can be tracked who went where.

Thank you for giving us that don’t live in the area or in a desert your perspective with visual support of the actual terrain and logic to support your conclusion. Google earth and news articles , are limited in giving us perspective (I’ve noticed news articles often provide conflicting information and then don’t amend the information to know what really happened). I have so many questions: -Did they use luminal in his car clothes and house? -Did they use touch DNA where he or someone else would have pulled the pants down or unbutton the shirt, was the touch Dna consistent? -did dad get access to medical insurance records to investigate drs he’d seen regarding symptoms or new meds he’d been prescribed. -does he have an email for a center where he took Covid tests saying whether or not and what date he may have had Covid? -Did they check deleted apps such as DISCORD and WHATSAPP? Young people use apps to make calls and text aside from social media and the text and phone the phone comes with…there are also secret communication apps. -were there any trenches that may have collapsed on him especially with the rain. Can it be verified through paid satellite images that the company isn’t covering up making a trench that did not have safety measures. -did he wear an air alert monitor (required by OSHA for people who work in the fracking industry because they become desensitized to the smell of methane gas -the monitor warns that the employees when they are inhaling too much gas. -were there any explosions or work vehicles reported out of commission, fires, bore holes being drilled that he may have fallen into but weren’t considered. Maybe an old bore hole was never properly shut to standards and assuming he wasn’t there and knowing OSHA may come by, they covered up in case there was a surprise inspection. -why were trail cameras requested to be removed soon after, was it really to make hunting more fair for the animals? Did the police request the trail cams? -does the explosion in a house soon after have anything to do with the fracking , like maybe he wanted to blow the whistle on something but was told not to and maybe work wasn’t sure what he would do? Have they overcooked the gas? Too much methane released in Air or contaminated table water? -are there sinkholes in the area?, mud slides or rock avalanches in the area he could have reached that would make him harder to see? -was the air quality in his apartment checked for proper ventilation/oxygen and for things like black mold or other toxins? -have all comatose patients, patients with traumatic brain injuries and John does been checked by dad or private investigator? Last year a child got hit by a car riding his bike to the store that was blocks away but in another county. Parents looked and looked for their missing child, we’re on the news…NOTHING. Turns out an ambulance from the other county picked him up, they wrote on his record that he was a young adult (not a child) he was comatose…. Police and hospital never exchanged communication and when parents called the hospital they were told the only patient that was unknown was a young adult. This was in the US this year or last (some of the details may be off because I saw it a long time ago but I think all John does and comatose patients in surrounding area or head injuries need to be checked by the private investigator, especially if he was flown to a hospital far away because the ones there were full or didn’t have the specialty needed.

I know cartels use geologists , engineers and architects to build their tunnels, usually it’s willing or scared Mexican Nationals, would they kidnap an American geologist to build a tunnel? -what was the podcast he watched that intrigued him? -were there marks / indentations on the dirt when’s the edges of his jeep rested when it was found? I assume since it started raining that maybe the jeep would have left an obvious indentation do to the muddy top layer would have obvious on the now dry dirt molded around the edges or the jeep touching the ground (especially when it was removed).

That’s quite a mystery! If I’m not mistaken, you said his clothes and shoes were found in his vehicle. Does that mean he stripped down and left his vehicle and then disappeared? That in and of itself seems very odd. Someone else in their comment said you have a previous video on this subject. I’ll have to look that one up. These kinds of mysterious disappearances in the desert are always very intriguing.

I also heard, not for sure where now, that he was sited by another person but have forgotten where it would be in the timeline. Really wish his family could get closure. I have heard that his frame of mind was questional but still not to find him seems strange. The clothes scattered with his wallet is odd too.

You're welcome! AS I said in the 2nd video, I have changed my mind and now regard this as beyond a simple 'got lost & died' episode. If you had been present and seen the size of the search parties that participated week after week, and the terrain, it doesn't take an Einstein to understand that the body is nowhere to be found--at least within a reasonable radius of where a man who had no resource could have walked on a 95+ degree day.

@@W7DSY I agree. I am pretty sure that there was foul play involved. I mean his harassing that woman but she is alive and well but he is not. I wonder if some of her friends went to teach him a lesson. The other thing is he stripped off all his clothes in front of the wrecked jeep. That is consistent with someone with a head injury . Just think though what if you were driving out there and saw a naked and disoriented person stumbling around. Still not going to discount him doing weed/drugs because of his mindset. Still you would think you could find him. I know you said there were no mineshalfs or deep revines but is there any water around there close. It's always said check your water sources first. Or are there any places to curl up in that area semi hidden. The other thing if this was staged maybe he is actually somewhere else. If I find where I heard that someone else seen him, I will let you know. It might give you ideas.

I think your videos are great. I have one note of criticism. I would say, instead of "this is where Daniel drove his Jeep off..." I would say "this is where Daniel's Jeep was driven off..." Perhaps I am being petty, but I am highly skeptical he drove his Jeep there. If foul play was involved, someone else dumped his Jeep there.

I think he flipped, passed away, and animals placed his remains in all different directions… He hurt himself in a crash and tried to walk out; but succumbed to his injuries. Vultures and coyotes are notorious for this.

Sorry for spamming your channel. I have a question. I saw that there was a pretty severe storm on the 23rd of June last year (monsoon)-the night Daniel went missing. A KZbin channel “Rankinstudio” has coverage of the flooding that took place. Could Daniel have been staring off into space because he was impressed with the weather that was brewing….If his coworker was uninterested in weather, he would have been oblivious that Daniel may have decided to experience the famous uphill winds , take pictures of lightning and maybe even take in the experience of a dust storm. Sounds irresistible for an adventurous hydrogeologist, especially because he seemed to be having an existential crisis, at the very least, a mental health or a cognitive issue caused by a clot, dehydration, toxins, TBI or a number of other physical pathologies, at worst. What would a storm such as this do to Daniel if he was in a wash during a flash flood? What would it do to his vehicle (drag it?) perhaps that’s why the crash doesn’t match up. Did he take his clothes off because they were weighing him down or because he was caught in quicksand and panicked? Have the places where the water drains been checked? Unfortunately there are fish that consume flesh, so at this point, I’m not sure what or how the searchers would determine if that were a possibility. Could the side wall of a wash have collapsed on him, would he be easy to spot? If he was on a hill when this happened what would a strong wind do? If he parked his car 11 miles away , left his keys in the car to get pictures and someone jacked his car when they saw the nice jeep with keys in it… and when they saw him on the news…they panicked and crashed the jeep near the worksite. Or maybe they got caught in the flood while stealing the car. If they only stole his jeep, they would be indirectly responsible for a possible death but would not know where his body is so putting the jeep back could have been a form of cowardly thinking they are giving family closure (which makes me think if this happened, these people were young and have zero integrity ). Yes they’d risk jail time by confessing but they could say where they originally found the jeep to narrow down possibilities. IDK… just another scenario I came up with because the severity of the weather is not talked about AT ALL, neither was it mentioned that there had been wildfires which could have added to the mystique and confusion of what Daniel was going through…he hears this podcast, there’s a pandemic, fires and a monsoon…literally and figuratively, the perfect storm occurred . I’ve listened to and read books that have given me epiphanies but never had the epiphanies align with so many natural disasters, not to mention he was forced to be without shade and could have had his electrolytes out of whack because Katelynn had his work canopy that provides him with shade. He had lots of water in the car, but without a canopy, he needed electrolytes…another possible domino effect. (Water could make things worse):( so sad, I really hope he’s anonymous in a hospital/rehab in some irresponsible town that doesn’t keep up with the news and that a miracle will happen.

Just going to note a few things about this theory b/c I live about a mile away from where Daniel went missing. 23rd did see some major rain and flood warnings, but I personally didn't see much in the way of flash-flooding in the area. This area isn't super conducive to that, although there are some deeper washes where it may be possible. The local flood basins, mostly near the highway, are typically dry. No fish, flesh-eating or otherwise, the nearest place to find fish is about 20 miles away and its a man-made stocked lake. At any rate, any water enough to move his car would have been quickly apparent on the car itself, there would be water damage, mud and silt, plus his clothes would have been floated away. Interesting idea, but I personally don't think it's very likely part of what happened to him directly.
