*Thumbs up if this helped* Infinite dark chip usage. 1. Chaos union whatever dark chip you want to infinitely spam. 2. Charge buster up and once fully charged, press pause while holding b. 3. if glow is purple let go of b and press start. 4. If green unpause while holding b and keep trying to pause with the purple glow. Spam as much as you want (preferably dark invis).

Honestly, I never felt like I could say much good about Battle Network 4, but I prefer the DarkChip system from that game. In Battle Network 5, it's really pointless to use a DarkChip on its own, and most people probably wouldn't put it into their folders if ChaosUnison wasn't around. In 4, if you were doing badly, the ultimate power would quickly come into your hands and if you had no other choice to win, you'd use it. In 5, you'll use all the DarkChips in your folder as ChaosUnison.

@bien51 Uniting with a Dark Chip gives you all the benefits of a Soul Unison of the same Navi. The only difference, besides different color, is your charge shot becomes the Dark Chip used to unite with. You can use it as many times as you want until you mess up the timing. Then you get Dark MegaMan appearing on the other side and you are kicked out of the Chaos Unison. Normal chips still act the same way if you loaded any.

If the emotion window is blinking, that means you have a bug in the NaviCustomizer. Check your setup and make sure you don't have any a) textured pieces on the command line b) no two pieces that are the same color touching each other c) have too many different piece colors When you run the NaviCust, if you have a bug, MegaMan will say something like "I feel a little funny" if there's a bug.

@bien51 That, plus the navis in liberation mode are a lot better. For example, Napalmman's command move always forces you to fight surrounded, while Tomahawkman gives you a clear area to fight.

knator22 I know it's a old comment but I'm gonna try to answer your question. So you are saying that you are losing HP during battle and you didn't even use Dark Chips? That means you have a HP Bug from the NaviCust.

For sephi32, it is called Bass Cross u can get it from an e-rader or by using gameshark. For Shinryuu82, u can get a zaber by deleting dark protoman or colonel in less than 9 phases in a liberation mission.

Using Dark Chips on their own (NOT through Chaos Unison's charge shot) DOES cause the permanent 1HP loss. Using them through Chaos Unison's charge shot DOES NOT cause the permanent 1HP loss.

@wtfman880: Well, yes, but I think that DarkMedySoul's charge is the hardest to unleash in that version of the game. I only use it against NebulaGrey, because there DarkMegaman doesn't appear when you time it poorly. You still lose the ChaosUnison, though.

if you combine a dark chip with an attribute thats the same with the souls of navis you get in the game (Protoman Magnetman Gyroman Toadman Numberman) then you can do a chaos unison but its really risky because you have to have perfect timing and if you dont darkmega comes out and beats the shit out of you and you can do NOTHING to get rid of him (I just wait til the custom bar fills up then go to the chip screen and escape ^^;)

@@familiayoutuber4769 so I figured this out man years ago. You have to release on every other mode to keep the cycle going (purple, light, purple, light, etc...) Because if you hit purple twice he tries to kill you that second time.

I kinda forget it was years ago since I have played the mmbn series, going to replay them all (and star force too) starting with mmbn3 because it's obviously the best with all the content after the final boss. Yeah but chaos soul is still much better....if mastered you can get the charge up to 5 times. 5 times dark invis in a row... And if you use dark chips you have to use the cleaner forca period of time to getcrid of the hp loss
