Nah, if you’re not even c36 you likely have no use for claymore ( Carry’s exsist and a m7 and f7 carry dosent break progression unlike eman carry’s do )

To add to what you said, I think the felthorn reaper was a great addition to the game because of it's mostly unique right click ability which allowed it to have high clearing potential while still doing decent clearing damage. If they could bring unique right click abilities (but not mage abilities) to such melee weapons similar to how they did it with the felthorn reaper, it would defo improve the melee builds in the game.

Felthorn is useless in progression shadow fury is better for a relative price and bol is also better. The right click ability is also basicly useless in practical use

@@abnrml5452 imo felthorn is way more cost effective, and can be used as a solid replacement to sf in progression. The right click ability is actually very good, and from what ur saying I don’t think you’ve really used the weapon to its extent before, because I used it for a good while instead of GS and SF and I enjoyed it much more (and then I went to claymore)

I have 2 ideas for the right click ability for the dark claymore. Ability #1 is called Dark Aura. When you activate the ability, all mobs within a certain radius of the player, including bosses, will take 30% more damage, deal 30% less damage, and 1% of their health will be drained every second for 7 seconds. Ability also only works when you are actively holding the dark claymore on hand. Ability #2 is called Raging Bull. When you activate this ability, your vitality, strength, attack speed, speed, and ferocity gets a 50% buff and your swing range is doubled. This way, you can truly embrace the role of a berserker.

An easy fix is to make it have high base magic find + be atleast as good as the slayer items for each slayer this would make. The slayer items budget claymore rather than just better and it would be used for magic find. This isn’t just straight power creep cuz it dosent make any weapon useless, this would make claymore like 300ma meaning the slayer items would be cheaper and if u maxed out an atomsplit than you can just ability swap to claymore or just keep it since it wouldn’t get worse just no longer the best 😊

@Snow-warrior Really? I don't really think so since the ability only lasts for 7 seconds and only works when you are actively holding the sword out. So if you wanna switch to an aotv or another weapon, you gotta do it fast, or you'll run out of time pretty quick. The 30% more damage and 30% less damage can be tweaked around. That was just a random number I'd put out.

i think that they should add a sub weapon for berserker so that u can use like 2 daggers or something but some weapons wouldnt be able to do that cuz its a 2 handed weapon ( giants sword, claymore)

i think once skyblock updates to 1.20 with foraging, there will be a good amount of potential for melee with _actual_ combat speed stuff, and just so much more things in general like tridents and shields and whatever, hypixel just needs to execute it right imo

Another idea i had was dual-wielding with the offhand slot, maybe melee users could get a massive buff or use two swords at once if they have one in their main hand and one in their offhand

it's really bad when the only thing keeping a weapon's price so high is npc value, with that being removed, the dark claymore would fall 4x it's value right now

I've been a melee main for a long time and i recently started going mage cuz you cant even get into a group for things like f7 since the str nerf. I used to be able to swap between a ofa gs and a decked out aots for ranged attacks and outdo terminators. I'd like to see something like a whirlwind ability on the claymore where you spin in circles for aoe and gain a speed buff and knockback immunity. This would also allow it to take more advantage of the range increase.

only reason hype is good is because of wither impact. if there was a scroll for based around melee valk and scylla would be better. also valk isnt even useful as bers in dungeons cause ferocity doesnt work with the new aoe attacks

I don't know what dungeons you've been playing, probably M7, but in F7, every single lobby has at least 1-2 bers and finding a tank is impossible cus the only classes u see are bers and arch, with the occasional mage. Also just because other classes are better doesn't meet bers level 50 cata 50 with dark claymore is bad or scuffed

It litterly does because c50 bers littterly can’t hit dragons with claymore and they’re not broke either so no reason to be mele bers at c50 mele bers is useless in m1-m3 boss and m6-m7 boss because you either can’t hit the boss or get out dpsed to death
