Only a big deal cuz you live in a country with no forest. In my home town, there's endless road like this, covered in forest and lined by old trees on both sides. Love Ireland, but this is a bit sad.

its not in Ireland its in Northern Ireland United Kingdom and also you are not supposed to drive though it the road is closed to traffic i am local and live near the dark hedges and the Bregagh road (road it is on) you can get fined £1000 for parking on it please park your car at the free local car park and walk as locals are sick of tourists destroying our heritage

Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom based on the consent of the people of Northern Ireland who want to be part of the United Kingdom this was agreed in the 1998 good Friday agreement which states that its for the people of NI to decide if they remain part of the United Kingdom or not so you're incorrect actually
