The Dark Knight Coaster Ride Control Panel Explained (SFGAm)

Some things: 1) Restraint controls on the control panel. The top (white) one is a Restraint indicator. Solid light = Locked ready to dispatch. Flashing Fast = Locked, not closed. Flashing Slow = Unlocked. Off = No Car in Dispatch Drive. Press to Lock Restraints. Bottom (Black) Button was just unlock restraints. 2) The green buttons, from the left: "Advance on" "Dispatch On" "Acknowledge." There are two different drives in the station, the advance drive and the dispatch drive, which could be started or stopped independently. To do so, you had to select the drive, then acknowledge. Both drives could be started at the same time by pressing both of the buttons at the same time then pressing acknowledge. If you had the timing down, you could press all three buttons at nearly the same time and start the ride in one step. 3) Red/Yellow buttons, from the left: "Advance Off" "Dispatch Automatic Off" "Station Off" Each button turned off their respective drive, except "Dispatch Automatic Off" which would turn off the automatic dispatch sequence, but not interrupt the dispatch sequence, if it had already started. 4) Eight cars max. Though the last time was 2017. Ten cars total, but every year two are refurbished during the season. 5) This ride is "Inherently unsafe" which is why the automatic dispatch was disabled in 2018. I'll leave it to the supersleuths in the comments to figure out what happened and why that would require disabling a dispatch sequence that requires no input from the operator.

I know they disabled the auto dispatch because they sent a car with the restraints down and someone on top of the restraint in the car. Exactly how they killed someone on the lightning loops at gadv. Good info :)

They already have an intense non-family batman. A eurofighter is so similar to b&m invert LAYOUT wise. It was intentionally a wildmouse to be a family ride. No duh I agree a eurofighter would be leagues better but that's not what they were ever going for with TDK.
