Batman doesn’t usually get to retire and have a happy ending but that last scene where Bruce gives Alfred the goodbye he always wanted and you see Selina is with him, she’s actually wearing Bruce’s mom’s pearl necklace speaks volumes about how they both left that life behind for good

I never expected that I would cry in a Batman movie. - Alfred revealing the “secret” to Bruce. - Alfred crying in front of Bruce’s grave and in front of the Wayne’s “I failed you… You trusted Me! And I failed you…” That was just heartbreaking 💔 Everytime I watch it. I always remember the absolute silence and shock in the cinema after Bane breaks Batman’s back. TDKR wasn’t as good as The Dark Knight, but it certainly was a great ending to the trilogy. In most Batman media formats, Bruce rarely has a happy ending. He either is killed by a criminal; sacrifices himself; physically and mentally broken from years follow crime fighting; dies alone of old age; lives in a cave or some sad variation of those mentioned. It’s just a life of tragedy. For him to be happy living a normal life with Selina is very satisfying as a Batman fan.

The dark knight rises is a marvelous conclusion to Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. Everything is top notch in this movie. The acting, the writing, the cinematography, the storyline, the visual effects are all perfect in this movie💯 Just Awesome 💯

Fun fact: In order to not spoil the movie, the scene with Bruce Wayne's tombstone had another name on it during the shoot, the name was later changed to read Bruce Wayne with CGI in the final film.

The entire Dark Knight trilogy by Christopher Nolan is just a masterpiece of film if you take the superhero part out of it and Inloved it to bits🔥😁. I loved Nolan’s take on the new antagonist “Bane” as it was so different from the Joker because we can’t ever do the Joker again, especially the way Heath did it, so we’re gonna try something new where Batman gets more of a physical challenge with Bane as Tom Hardy did a great job playing Bane🔥. Anne Hathaway was really really good as Selina Kyle aka “Catwoman”. Loved your reaction/analysis, take care, stay healthy, enjoy life and have a good one❤️

Makes me wonder if they genuinely have no idea that Batman usually has a sidekick named Robin lol and if so that’s cool cuz it just makes their reaction even more genuine. Michael Caine's Alfred just doesn't protect Christian Bale's Batman in the movies, Michael Caine protects Christian Bale in life as well. There was a big scandal for Christian Bale. Because during filming, someone recorded Christian yelling at a worker who stupidly got in the shot and they had to redo the entire shot all over again. The worker totally deserved it but people (especially the press) tried to make Christian look bad from the incident. When Michael Caine appeared on several talk shows, they asked him about Christian's behavior. Michael would say "Oh, I've said far worse than Christian has. Christian is nowhere nearly as bad as me....". Or something like that. So Michael would draw the attention away from Christian. Look it up on KZbin. There are several interviews with people asking Michael Caine about it. Michael Caine was perfect as Alfred in so many ways.

Nolan left this trilogy at a point where someone could have continued with Nightwing (the name Robin takes after going independent from Batman), but it seems the studios never considered that a possibility.

But you didn’t totally get it, Blake is not going to become Robin, they played with the history of that character, yes, Robin was the name of Batman’s sidekick, and here the reference is that Robin is the name of somebody that will take the mantle AFTER Batman, but not as Robin, but as the one that was created at the comic books: Nightwing, and who’s Nightwing? At the comic books there were MITE THAN ONE Robin, since they obviously had to grow up (Robin was always a very young, actually a teenager sidekick), one of them (the second one) was even murdered by the Joker, but the first Robin grew up to become an adult superhero that wouldn’t be the sidekick of Batman anymore, and yes, that’s Nightwing, the one they make reference with Blake having now the Bat Cave for himself and as an ex police officer disappointed with the system that just like Batman decided to act on his own. The very same Batman gave him also the advice about using a mask, having a secret identity to protect his family and friends.

My favorite novel is A Tale of Two Cities, so I LOVE all the references in this movie. The better you know the novel, the more you catch. It's just filled with little and major references from the novel.

This was a great movie not only that but seeing everything thrown at Bruce all the obstacles he had to overcome. Losing Alfred, all of his money/assets gone, being defeated by Bane, betrayed by Catwoman, having his back broken, overcoming the pit, and then being betrayed by Miranda with a knife that was gut wrenching. Despite all of that Bruce Wayne came out on top and you know why because he's BATMAN!! All those things happening at once would have been too much for a normal person for not Bruce Wayne because he's BATMAN!!. And Tom Hardy's performance in this was absolutely incredible did a great job as Bane. And the soundtrack was awesome!

Had the screenplay in the 2nd half had lesser logical jumps in the scenes, this movie would've been an awesome movie IMO. Nonetheless it's a good conclusion to the series, with the right conclusion albeit few bumps! The Dark Knight still remains Nolan's best CBM. Batman Begins was a really good start 💪

In the novelization of this movie- The Joker is still alive and locked up in Arkham Asylum. Not even Bane and Thalia were crazy enough to let him out like they did everyone else locked up in Arkham and Blackgate.

For another reaction to the film, I recommend the 2007 Stephen King film adaptation The Mist, directed and written by Frank Darabont, who has done King adaptations such as The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption. Darabont's fidelity can really be seen in that movie and the author of the book himself is satisfied with the movie and the same can be said about the ending of the movie, which Stephen King thinks is better than how he ended his own book and I guarantee you that you will not be satisfied with that ending.Otherwise, great reaction

Batman didn't survive, the ending is just Alfred's dreams and illusions. He couldn't have survived such an explosion even if he had ejected. And why he does not hide his face in Florence, because the whole world knows him, and suddenly he is photographed somewhere and his photo appears on all the news, no Batman would not go for such a thing.

Hey, Magy and Lora. I actually loved this movie a lot. I liked the performances, action sequences, screenplay, direction, musical score, and emotional depth. The second film was great, but I certainly think this one is the best film, as it was the most satisfying conclusion to the trilogy, and Batman would always be our legend.
