Economy in Progress is a channel that focuses on making videos on interesting topics and I hope you do as well. You will find issues about modern-day financial wins and failures, industries that are thriving or struggling, and some personal finance as well. My goal is to talk about the topics that are not being talked enough about or not as in-depth as it could. I have a bachelor's degree in economy and management and this channel is an outlet for me to talk about my passion. Hopefully, you will enjoy it.

Dude, this hurts my heart. My best friend and I matched up with obo in MM when he was fucking 9 years old. we used to play super regularly over the years, and I even talked to his mom to ask her if he would be allowed to join our ESEA team, because he was still just a baby, man. He was the nicest kid we had ever come across online, too. We always said he was gonna win a major someday, and when he beat Astralis in that final, I was so proud, even though we had completely stopped playing or interacting by that point. This is not withdrawal from Adderall. This is way, way more than that. I hope he is getting the help he needs. Stay strong, lil bud. Hang in there, and take it one day at a time.

This type of media is not productive whatsoever and does not seek to improve the state that oBo is in, but rather utilise the community's speculation of him as fuel for garnering views. Throughout the video, you make it quite clear that you do not care for oBo himself, but rather you "finally had the chance to finish" a youtube video. In itself, creating a video that brings attention to the state of a community member is completely fine, but the real issue is the usage of statements of opinion as fact about his well being, and the utilization of his story to fit a narrative of 'the Dark Reality of an Esport SUPERSTAR". This to me is clearly shown in the part of your video when analyzing a picture of oBo around the type stamp 4:08. Rather than creating a contrast and displaying how he use to look to how he looks now, you rather outright state without reason that he looks "awful" and "sick". This is then followed another opinionated claim that he "now looks ruined" . Because of this, it does feel like you are only framing these things in a way to fit a narrative that will succeed on KZbin, rather than trying to create a video that treats this situation with care, as it is quite a serious topic. At 7:28, you continue to speculate about his status, with oBo being either "mentally insane or a young person just trolling" due to comment about a 'witch'. Although it is agreeable that the way he is talking can be perceived as weird, saying that he is either "not mentally sane" or "just trolling" shows a lack of care for the depth of analysis, as there are many more technical explanations to his current state of health which is already unknown. Please ensure that if you are to create media centered around the health status of people within the community, approach it with an increased level of care and seriousness. Although the video has brought to light oBo's recent behaviour and perceived state of health, creating speculation can be a double-edged sword as we have seen with many prior influencers who have undergone psycho-analysis. The title itself "The Dark Reality of an Esports SUPERSTAR" implies to me that this is not a piece of media that is looking to get oBo help, but rather create buzz using his recent behaviour as the 'content.' This type of media feels incredibly reminiscent of channels such as Drama Alert that utilised people's mental health states as fuel to gain views. Please do not become that type of person. TLDR because essay: Using people's mental states as a way to garner views and fit your narrative is disgusting and does not seek to actually benefit oBo. Such a topic necessitates an increased level of care and seriousness to ensure viewers are correctly informed about oBo and that the media isn't damaging to the person being analyzed. Why would you use tags like #DARK on a serious video about a person's mental state.

Finally, someone talked about oBo. It’s crazy to think that this guy had a large following alongside with Tenz & s0m, since a lot of people believed that these 3 were considered as the NA prodigies who could be able to save NA CS (sounds goofy but I ain’t joking lol). Also I don’t agree that minors, especially those who are under 16 or so, should be allowed to play professionally. These teenagers are still naive & immature, they haven’t really plan out the things they want to do in life then BOOM, they’re immediately struck with a huge amount of wealth & fame that could be mishandled without a proper guidance & responsibility. I feel like this is oBo’s case since he was exposed to adult life way too early & he wasn’t prepared for it. That’s just my two cents. 13:04 also just realized that we came up with a similar conclusion. Good video mann.

@@TheLopiola It all depends on the person, it would be wrong to refuse someone an extreme valuable chance of chasing their dream because a lesser than average amount can't handle it. It being a concern of the employer, employing personell to help the youngster and maybe even reference the parents to someone that could teach them how to better honestly evaluate whether their kid could handle it, I'm all for. My little brother got scouted by a sportsteam in another country with a private school to develop talents when he was 14 and moved there a couple months later when he became 15. He has now been there over 4 years. He tipped the scout about another talent from our country but he moved back 5ish months later unable to do it.

Tenz and Som are all Hype, it should have been leaf. I dont agree that minors shouldn’t be allowed to compete, if you were paying attention to the Video, the time that complexity was turning into a juggernaut team in NA was the time COVID was at an all time high and every NA Team was planning to move to EU, and it took a huge toll on oBo mental health while being away from home and Family. It seems to me that he was pushed into stardom too early, found himself stuck in a place where he didn`t understand the language and culture, separated from his family and when he made the decision to return to America because he couldn`t take it, got flamed by the community that had no idea what he had been through, and then the dcotors didn`t want to have to deal with him, and put him on silly high doses of drugs that are know to affect the brain instead of actually giving proper council. I don`t think people really understand how deeply this can affect someone mentally, especially at his age. It truly is a sad story and I wish the best for him.

No way that’s caused by 60mg aderall abuse. I take 56 for adhd and sure the first few days he would feel the good effects but 60mg would probably be too little in just a week or two even as someone who doesn’t need it. There’s more to this story

You get adderall withdrawal even if you are taking it as prescribed. It’s common and everyone that has taken adderall goes through withdrawl. Not fun, but not a sign of abuse

Um you can get adderal withdrawl if you have adhd. I was on it for 10 years prescribed by my doc and quit cold turkey and went thru withdrawl.

2:04 Blast premier definitely was not the biggest event of 2020. That would've been IEM katowice. Blast premier was on par with other online tournaments that year like ESL one cologne (europe) and Both EPL seasons aswell as the final blast premier tournament of the year

Adderall is widely used as grey area doping in eSports, I wonder if that led him down this hole.

I used to take Concerta, Methylphenidate, and Ritalin. The withdraw is pretty bad. I have ADD, so I take it for medical reasons, still... this video is taking out of context.
