If you continue to do these documentaries about the history of pking on runescape I would really love to see you go all in on this and do deep dives into all the eras of pking. Small correction, you didn't used to profit from alching yew longbows, you'd generally break even on what you paid for the bows if you got a good price and lose what you paid for the natures, natures were roughly 300 gp each for most of 2006 from what I remember.

I was in Infamous Pkers/Team Camden back in 04-08, we were mostly a mage bank group, but we did some EOH lures a lot. I was always the bait, and it was some of the best time in my RS career, and in my life in general. The amount of fun and bonding you had with your team during these was amazing. 12-16 year old me was was always excited to hop on with the boys and get some kills.

I used to use the tree north east of Edgeville Bank. Used to be Level 1 Wildy North side of the tree. Search forums for sellers of high value items. Get them to meet you. You’d pretend to be woodcutting. They’d trade you which would drag them around the tree into Level 1. Oh the glory days.

Never got lured back in the 06-07 days but I did get lured in 2013 for my dragon claws and it made me the player I am today. Legit maxed an account and pked over 1B+ in my career due to the feeling of getting absolutely danced on as a dumb 12 year old 😂

I knew a crazy lure that not that many people use to utilize back then: I would get people to come to karamja by giving them a dmed helm and telling them there is an infinite spawn of them ( you would be surpised how many people actually believed that) and i would take them to the aggressive tribesman and they would get poisoned and freak out and they usually didnt have enough time to get back and pick up their items. Phats and rares used to be worth very low alch wise so a lot of items would protect over them. got my first phat like that then i remember losing it to a food scammer in the duel arena lmao good times!

I did a lure once. Found a guy who had Ancients which was a big deal I guess, then I convinced him to be my killer. Somehow I convinced a guy to get lured. This is when luring was already very well know, and the guy knew what I saw doing. However, instead of dropping 20k, I dropped actual valuable items. I knew the 20k would be too obvious. The guy goes in after some time, and picks up one of the items, the guy with Ancients fucked up and couldnt kill him. So I just continue despite the scam being exposed. Dropped some d boots or something, the guy goes in again, but this time my killer got him. What's annoying though is the Ancients guy ended up taking most the loot for himself, highlight was a Robin Hood hat. I barely got any profit

When free trade was removed me and a bunch of other players would hang out at clan wars red portal and lure people for fun so they lost their stuff and we didnt get the drops. Then when free trade came back in 2011 we got our full rewards for luring in red portal

True story, merched D bones for 2 months straight and managed to get a green halloween mask. A guy messaged me saying he has 60m in oak logs and that he is willing to swap it for my green mask. Being a mercher I jumped at the opportunity. He told me the quantity and I used a calculator to double check figures and yes it looked like 60m. Only thing was, being a kid I counted one extra zero. It was worth 6m...lost my bank. But learned a little trick... A few days later I had six santas and numerous masks... 😢😂

Long story short, Jojo is an arsehole... just like me! I managed to scam someone out of a red party hat at the mage bank. He was a mutual friend of another guy I played with so he felt comfortable enough to let me try it on. Logged the minute he traded me it 😂 At the time I was in Sacred Templars, a very well known clan back in the day which went toe to toe with Damage Inc. Anyway later on the guy almost got me banned from the clan until he stupidly doctored up a whole bunch of fake 'screenshots' to try proving I scammed him. I knew they were fake of course but I had to prove it. When I managed to highlight anomalies with the photo & incorrect colours for combat levels, plus I worded conversations with him in such a way, telling him 'tell the truth' as opposed to 'say I pk'd for the party hat' & I would give him the Red Phat back (obviously I didn't) eventually I convinced everyone in the clan I was innocent & got off with scamming him using the screenshots of him saying I killed him & the proof his photos were fake. What a manipulative little genius I was as a kid 😂 I don't feel guilty though as Karma caught up with me & that account was hacked just before I quit. Managed to get it back in the last few years with the introduction of RS on mobile. Accounts on RS3 but the party hat is sadly gone.
