I met Drew. She came to stay at my B and B that I had in Todos Santos, BCS, Mexico. She was very down to earth, friendly and casual. She told a story sbout about being thrown in the pool as a child. She and her boyfriend were very appreciative of the beautiful breakfast. They said," We have been treated so well. What have we done to deserve this"? I told them to stand up, put your hands up in the air and say " I deserve this!". They did and we had a good laugh. They folded the towels and made the bed before they left. A great memory from that time. A lovely person.

Just hearing Drew speak about her early days in rehab is unsettling. Not knowing if you will ever make it out again leaves a pit in my stomach - how tragic! Very proud of her coming out of the darkness! A lot of parents only do or don't do what was done to them as children. Instead of breaking the chain they continue the pain onto their children. Warriors like Drew not only break the generational chains of abuse but they also show their own kids a better life with LOVE instead of the abuse they experienced. Great job Drew for not giving up on yourself and creating a better fulfilling life.
