Early 2000s after a Smackdown in Memphis there was about 20 of us standing around outside the parking lot trying to get whatever we could. Most wrestler just drove right by. A few rolled down their window and said thanks for coming. Jeff pulled out, parked, and got out and took pictures and signed for every single person there while the local indie wrestler in his passenger seat complained at him the entire time. Before getting back in the car he asked “Everyone good? Anyone else need anything?” Thank you Jeff. You’ll always have a fan in me.

I've been sober for about 1 year and a half, i was addicted to alcohol, pills, cocaine, and gambling. It's alot harder than people think. Lost my job, Lost all my savings, Had an overdose in the middle of work and my boss at the time took me to the hospital, but that wasn't enough, i kept doing it until i was fired. But 1 day i decided to quit it all and i did, i failed sometimes, but i made it, and i couldn't be more happier, all i do now is smoke weed, workout, meditate and try to only do good things, I Hope Jeff finds peace, like i did because he was one of the best in the wrestling business, i'm happy he is in TNA now again, and seems going pretty well, amazing documentary as always !
@eddieneyman40352 ай бұрын
Bro, weed is addictive as hell and takes your ability to process the days events/emotions away in your sleep. It is a slow death and you lose your productivity and drive. I know it is super trendy and cool to say you smoke weed and be in that group/culture, but damn if you're trying to align your life on the tracks and get something going that matters, even turning to it once or twice a week leads you down to wanting it every single day and back you are at that pit of self loathing, wanting stronger stuff, wanting it first thing in the morning, and abandoning your goals. I was there, trust me man.

@joshs99862 ай бұрын
Keep doing you man I’ve been down that road and I find that smoking weed is a whole lot better than all that other stuff and for most people it is plenty and it fills that hole inside enough so that you don’t need anything else. Some people can’t keep it to that, they will end up falling back into the harder drugs but as long as you keep moving and you can get the weed from a place that you don’t have to associate yourself with people doing the harder stuff . I’ve been able to use weed and nothing else and it helps me stay level while giving me just enough euphoria to deal with life with a smile on my face. I don’t believe the bs that weed is always a “gateway drug “ as long as you don’t need it to have a good day. Not trying to preach like some just some advice nobody asked for lol. Stay strong and keep the right path in front of you and the wrong path in the rear view…

As a former pill junkie from NC, who has been in front of crowds to entertain them. Still battling Alcoholism, I remember my dad coming home f rom work, telling me about Jeff and Matt doing crazy shit on their trampoline. We moved. Got a trampoline. I fell in love with Pro Wrestling. Power Bombing my sister. Moonsaults. Frog Splashes. Pile Drivers. Very Trusting sister. Needless to say. We were always WCW being from the south. Then boom, attitude era. FKN HARDY BOYZ. My dad JUMPED OUT OF HIS CHAIR! I had been skateboarding and snowboarding pretty hard core for a while and even after then. So unfortunately, I'm all too aware of the adrenaline junkie, boken body, self medicating, attention whore, mind set. I wish The Hardy FAMILIES the best. Love you and thank you!

My biggest problem with the Sting event is Eric letting Jeff go through that curtain AFTER seeing him being helped inside of guerrilla. I mean, it's like helping somebody walk to the edge of a cliff and then going, "Oh man, look at him go" after he jumps. What Jeff did wasn't right, but what Eric did, whilst being in a position of power, was totally wrong.

As a neurodivergent person with social anxiety, it’s super hard to find a place to be comfortable and happy, especially when there is an assumption of one having a bombastic personality. It’s super easy to fall into a dependency. However; being given opportunities to have top tier rehab and refuse it - no matter the justification- shows that a person needs therapy to accept what they need. I’m from Australia & grew up in a farming & military family. I can understand the mentality of the folks in the Carolina’s to not want to accept the help. But there comes a time when your humanity needs to overcome your disorders. There’s less shame in accepting help when offered, than the shame of doing the same failed attempt over & over… It’s hard & I hope Jeff finds peace. He was one of my favourites of all time & he’s a GOAT of high flyers. I’d hate for him to do something that tarnishes his name to that of Benoit

I’ve seen life long crackheads and herion addicts get and stay sober. It’s definitely an uphill battle especially given the fact he has money and has already been in the best treatment facilities. But I think it’s wrong to count him out and say he’ll never change, that’s basically wishing death on him. He’ll change when he wants to and if he doesn’t it’s an obituary.
@williamkirschenman2 ай бұрын
The most recent stint was AEW letting him go out there and doing the hardcore/No DQ matches was a terrible idea on their end. They knew they hired someone with addiction problems, yet let him go out there and land back first on a pretty solid set of stairs during the Darby match. Matt is just as at fault for that one as well. They were at a signing together, he knew his brother was balls wasted and still didnt step in and take his keys or force him to take an Uber. It is sad to see someone so many people seen as a hero growing up fall like he does. I know I am someone who cant support either Jeff or Matt. Jeff for obvious reasons & Matt for not trying to step in and he the voice of reasoning.
@inFAIMous2.05 күн бұрын
What people don’t understand about addiction is you don’t just decide to stop, go to a program for 60 days and that’s it, you’re no longer addicted and you’re back to how you were before you were an addict. It’s a constant temptation multiple times a day that you need to fight. Some days are easier but you gotta fight that temptation everyday for the rest of your life. Yea some former addicts may read this and say it’s not for them but most of us arent feeling the stress of the constant traveling, time away from family, being looked at under a microscope from your work and fans and the pain that wrestlers feel. I wish Jeff the best and hope he can overcome his addiction and stay away from them for himself, his family and fans.

the way the world perceives Jeff Hardy is not what Jeff lives.. despite his popularity and reports from people that he has helped them, he has never actually helped anyone directly, so for him this help is as if it never happened and thus he can't really feel good about it.. all he has is pain and drugs that help him with the pain, but cause more problems.. from Jeff's point of view this is completely understandable, but to everyone else his behavior is absolutely strange and the saying "never judge a man until you've walked in his shoes" applies here, because his experiences are completely different from what the average fan or person can see and draw conclusions from.. it's really sad, but he's not the only one who has similar demons and in the end it all depends on the person, how they deal with it.. I hope Jeff can deal with this and live a happy life from now on, fingers crossed..

I want to start by saying literally anything that helps with anxiety or pain has the potential to become addictive no matter who you are. 'Life's hard, take a pill.' I'll follow up by saying any career that destroys the body/mind is a breeding ground for addiction. Whether wrestlers, soldiers, cops (they won't admit it but it's true) fisherman, the list goes on. We're told 'no one cares, keep working ' Jeff (not just as an idol) is a prime example of countless people who burn their candle at both ends and bring others down with them.
