​@@marce4241 you mean there's people who fell for the same thing every site does there's free tools to look up prices you can list items as a private deal which is only 2% tax and share that in places like the skin port discord iv gotten insane deals like this and iv used my brain to know when it comes to money to not trust the first price someone tell me its worth as i think everyone should on a trading site a few days ago it was saying my Fire in the Hole stickers where worth 1.38 cad there a 7$ sticker this is normal as much as i hate to say it and even then iv found insane items and fliped them for 2X even sometimes the site gets botted by normal people like every site and there prices are a lot better then steam idk what listings your looking at there's no buyer fees you pay what you see not even tax everything is include and lets take some cases for an explain Operation Breakout Weapon Case skin port 8.34$ cad steam 11.03 cad and there's tons of those on there the recommend price also which he says he doesnt know how they got it shows he didnt look anything up if you look up how does skinport get there recommend price they them self's will tell you "the avg steam price over the past 30 days" skinporrt is still a lot better then other sites even csfloat iv been charged extra like over 20$ on a 15$ wallet top up 25% fees is not normal iv had sellers not send me items and i have to battle with support for sometimes hours if i didnt get refunded the list does on just get better its not hard

all the things u list are just common practice in the cs market tho. Yes you have to pay a fee, yes it is suggested to list ur items cheaper in order for them to sell (becasue its a p2p market duh), and yeah maybe you cant find "good deals" but you can easily find things that are slightly under the general market value. Overall the site is just one of the alternatives, and they dont really do anything wrong

Decided to watch this whole thing before commenting, idk anything about you or your style of content but here's a comment, if you're going to make a video and title it "the dark side of skinport", proceed to make wild claims and then back it up without providing any tangible evidence, then you're not doing anyone any favours. Allow me for a moment to play devils advocate here, you say in this video that when a user lists their item, skinport have a 20 second window to manually check your item and choose to buy it, could it also just be that it takes the site 20 seconds to list your item on the live marketplace? Your whole research using "multiple databases" with the UMP blaze is equally as probable to the alternative too surely, as in the item was traded to skinport, sniped/sold, then traded into a fully private account without any opportunity to become registered by the database. There's no legitimate evidence in this video at all to suggest to any of your viewers here that any of these claims are valid. I say all this because while I personally believe there are far better marketplaces out there (trust me there are), skinport is designed for the every day "casual" consumer. Everything about the website is tailored towards an "easy" selling experience and an "easy" buying experience, users get what they pay for, sellers get what they're promised, there are more advanced marketplaces for those who choose to go through the hassle of setting them up. But that's not their target audience. If the goal was to make an expose, you should do your due diligence and provide proof to your audience, perhaps I'm wrong. All the best :)

Respect this completely. Although with a company providing awful fees to sellers, do you really think they tailor the site for a fair odds for buyers? If they are so tailored for the community for a safe haven for skin trading with cashouts why tailor the site with such house edge? Strictly because they don’t give two shits about cs or the community & they’re just a money making business no different to any marketplaces like gambling sites. Strictly for profitable reasons. Compared to csfloat they have trade up builders, database to find items with the lowest selling and buying fee. Now why would float keep it so low with low fees? Because it’s Tailored to actually provide for the community, not providing a service strictly for business like skinport. Please refresh skinport pages with high % off and see how every skin goes before any user gets given a chance.

Also just to mention one genuine occasion me and fluent witnessed with a friend. Our friend was going to list his bfk freehand FN on the site without us knowing, he listed with suggested price being set default as 23% off, we all quickly advised him to delist it as he’d gain more on float with lower fee and 23% off is crazy. With delisting he then waited 7 days to return the item back to his inventory then sold for more on float with less fee in general. For any new user will get baited by the recommended price and then wonder why their skins take minutes to sell. Huge bait trap for bot users to snipe & for the site to have bots to take those skins off people with little understanding with the skins economy & just wanting quick cash. Sick user market manipulation techniques. Also suggesting lower prices than £800 to make them pay 12% fee instead on 8%. The site is designed to make money. It’s not even safe with the recent steam update to trade with bot accounts alone hence why they all got banned on the new update post major. P2P is the main safe option, skinport is a load of shite, you can’t say it’s great when they tax users so much for a middle man fee and trade locked items. Dead site.

The company has website upkeep to maintain, employees to pay, social media pages to monitor, customer support to upkeep, sponsorships to continue traffic and most of all the burden of dealing with financials and any and all fees associated (like every other company), you think an iPhone costs apple $800 to make? They're not so different. From my perspective let's say I was a customer choosing to sell on skinport I would notice the 12% fee and have a choice to pay, if I went ahead and tried to sell my item there then I'm doing it by mentally justifying the fee because I have a brain and free will, and I can see a few reasons the site has a sizable 12% sale fee but I can agree there's better places to sell. As I mentioned before, the best quality they can have as a marketplace is consumer safety, which they do so well. Nothing you have said is wrong but you've entirely missed my main point. If you actually read my original comment, my issue is with how this guy didn't bother to throw in a shred of proof on an "expose" video and I just thought that should be addressed.

But of course there are bots watching skinport like there are bots sitting on any csgo market place who are faster than human inputs. Csfloat included. Suggested price being set low is still not a scam - its simply a good customer experience. You go on the site looking to sell a skin, you list it, you sell it and have the balance the next day. Customer gets his money, buyer gets a good deal and skinport gets its cut. The site is anything but dead. Try getting a good deal on csfloat compared to sites with a marketing team behind them. Csfloats main traffic is as a skins database and not a marketplace. In the future that might change, I hope it does. P2P is convenient but doesnt prevent Api scams either. Its in no way shape or form safer than a site you deposit your skins onto (other than being rugpull safe, but a rugpull would also affect any marketplace with sitebalance). Idk what bot banwave you whitnessed either other than chinese casefarmers btw

I bought a stained minimal wear navaja knife from Skinport for 76.78 euros without any problems with my debit card and sold the item immediately on the steam market for 87.85 euros (this is the amount that I got after the taxes of steam and cs2). Easy 11.07 euros profit without any issues, so I don't know about the "You can't find good deals on this site" part.
