Sensational Rainbow. Great Drone shot. We visited Skye and the Talisker distillery about 30 years ago. I felt an urge to leave Skye as the cloud descended to cap the mountains and bring out the claustrophobic in me. Spectacular place.

Love Skye. Used to live there, next to Dunvegan in fact. You’ve reminded us how bad the weather is. We live in Wales now and it’s a dream by comparison!! Great memories though so thank you ❤

We had our honeymoon at Dunvegan 49 years ago,it was brilliant in those days,watching the many crofters working, pony trekking on highland ponies,being rowed round Donovan’s island retreat, and visiting the coral beach. We returned 3 years ago, such a massive change for the worse, scarcely any crofters,all private houses poshed up beyond recognition,thousands of people there now . Gone is the wild lonely place that I remembered. Still beautiful though. Think you’ve gone at the right time of year. Have a lovely time and thanks for stirring up my memories!

We stayed at Glenbrittle in August 2022 it was packed, the weather was gorgeous and no midges. We had a lovely walk along the top with Molly, Polly and our other dog Charlie who died last year. Happy times. Nice to see you loving Scotland like we do.

We went there last September the weather was very kind to us. We towed the caravan all the way to Skye over the bridge all I remember it very very windy going over 😮. Beautiful place would love to go back in the motorhome. It’s worth seeing the north east part some beautiful views of Harris. One thing for sure you won’t be affected by the midges. Great video thanks for sharing.

The isle of Skye is fabulous the wildlife in particular, the weather has been terrible everywhere at the moment 6 degrees in Hampshire,we are all looking forward to the two weeks of summer that we sometimes get then we can complain about how hot it is, we were lucky enough to see golden eagles when we went.

Looks like your trip to Skye went the same way as ours a couple of years ago. Had a heatwave, 80°+, for the first three weeks in Scotland (little ginger people bursting in to flames everywhere 😂) Then as soon as we got to Skye, torrential rain, 70+ mph winds😢. Apart from Dunvegan Castle (“There can be only one” - if you know, you know) wasn’t impressed. The drive to Skye though was absolutely awesome! Sadly you missed it going by ferry. Were off to Bonnie Scotland for the summer so fingers crossed for the weather 🤞

We went in February about 3 years ago in a hired van…omg! We had a storm while on Skye & the ferry & bridge closed after our first night. So worried about damage to the van & we had nowhere to stay. We ended up ‘hunkered down’ in Talisker distillery car park for the night & obviously would have been rude not to go in for a few tasters. The car park was in a bit of a dip & we survived the night with a lot of buffering!

Claire's giggle on about the meals, had us belly laughing and reminded us of when I ordered butter chicken in a Indian, Darren asked have you ever had butter chicken, but I heard have you ever bought a chicken... I looked at him as if he was daft and said of course I've bought a chicken. We stayed at sango sands in nearly a hurricane, we were given the most beautiful pitch ( would have been on a sunny day ), at a high level, right at the very front, over the cliffs very near the view point. That night, sleeping in our van was just like trying to sleep in a tumble drier. The wife had a panic attack, fearing we would be blown off into the surf below, never slept at all, mythering all night and the next day she demanded to me that we be moved. Fortunately other hardy souls snapped the chance up and we swapped. She was finally happy then, well for at least 5 minutes, which is good for her being Scottish. I being English, which isn't a very good combination at the best of times. Which this wasn't.
