@solo xi Maybe? But having difficulties of any kind does not justify sadistic behavior and vicious manipulations. People who have such extreme traits tend to have a more traumatic background (sever abuse or neglect) than difficulties dealing with relationships. She also behaves incredibly immature for her age, seem to have reduced ability for empathy. From her behavior and manipulative lies I would not be surprised should it turn out she killed her sister on purpose.

If Hollyoaks stop focussing so much on the petty/jealousy aspect of the Cher/Mercedes storyline, and instead turn it solely into a revenge porn storyline, it could be great. They’re already sowing the seeds, the societal reactions towards Mercedes (a woman) in comparison to Warren (a man, although he isn’t shown on the video, he is heard, yet isn’t receiving any judgement for it), and also the family reactions towards it, judging her and making her seem like she’s the perpetrator due to her past, when she’s actually the victim. I hope this isn’t just a throwaway plot that gets brushed under the carpet and we see the consequences this has for Mercedes and Cher 🤞🏻

🤣🙄 Do you know what show that you're talking about? This is Hollyoaks, the show that never sets good examples on TV for other shows to follow. Seemingly some of the worst characters in TV history was on Hollyoaks and they're always getting away with it or getting away with for long time. What Cher did is bad but it's no where near as bad to the levels some of the former characters of the past on Hollyoaks.

I think everyone is missing the most obvious thing. Cher and Mercedes are so much alike. They will do anything and step over anyone to get what they want. But Mercy had a full on affair while Sylver was acting as father to HER child. She nearly left him multiple times because of HER insecurity. She's the abusive one. She does tons of horrible things, gives a half hearted apology and expects everyone to move on from the trauma SHE caused. Oh, and she had him locked up in jail knowing he had been in prison for YEARS for a crime he didn't commit. She's just as abusive as John-Paul's guy.
