The Dark Side of Thurisaz is a spiritual approach to the runes as symbols and signs that represent different forces and principles in the universe and in the human existence, with a special focus on Thurisaz/Thurs as the key rune of witchcraft and black magic.

I would like to give my little statement on Black Magic, because you guys keep asking me about it, hehe: Personally, I do not believe in Black or White magic. I believe in power - call it "magic" if you will - "magical essence" that we harness through sorcery and then we give it a purpose. This essence itself isn’t black or white, good or evil, it just is. But we are the ones to give it a purpose when we use it; we are the ones to turn it into black magic. So when I speak about Black Magic, I'm not necessarily speaking about something Evil; just darker aspects of various realities we use in our lives to achieve knowledge.

the black white ,left hand right hand, good and bad duality is a judaic trade thats imbedded in most of us , also the ''Black magicians'' amungst us, but i can tell you there are a lot of 'magick'practicioners that view it exactly the way you just described, when you finally come to the source it becomes clear by itself in a way. if you lived in the witchburning times, for sure your beliefs would also be seen as black magick hehe .... but dont feel irritated when someone aproaches you in this mindstate, its just another perspective to see it from ;) , greets my friend

We can call it what we will, but I truly believe it's the understanding and ability to use energy. This coupled with knowledge and a very compatible relationship with nature. Would you agree sir? Thank you for these videos. They have helped me greatly on my journey into my "magical" path and practice.

Hi Mr Härger! Could you tell me please more on the bindrunes who are displayed at the end of the video? What is the rune bound with Thurisaz at the left? About the right one, am i right if i tell that you use Dagaz because it works on spiritual/ mystical awakening? Thank you for your answer and advice!

Very acurately explained my friend. Thurisaz indeed is a rune of major importance and many uses. I have incorporated each rune accordingly to my own perspective and magical practices, but Thurisaz is and was always the pillar of my understanding of magic and also a powerful guide to unlock Occult knowledge as you pointed out in this video. I see Thurisaz as the essence of what The Occult actually is and what the runes represent. Also, there is no such thing as "black or white" magic, per se. Magic is always neutral at the point of inception. Yes, people do practice all sorts and forms that they consider "black or dark" magic, but you can apply this principle to those in power, media, entertainment, politics, pop culture, and to our criminal governments too. What they practice is what they preach. Call it a "trashy" form of "black magic" or whatever. it's meant to harm, confuse, brainwash and take the money out of your pocket against your will. Philip K. Dick was right when he stated in one of his writings. " I restore Gnostic gnosis to the world in a trashy form". :) Again, thank you indeed kindly for taking your time to create this enlightening video.

Awesome! ♥️ I love Thurisaz and its darker side surely also has a magickal potential as well as it belongs to the mystery of the rune as a whole symbol. I don’t normally blend cultures, but thurisaz reminds me by its energy of straif in ogham - I sent you some info on it on the messenger ;) as well as my questions for an interview, so check it out when you have a minute :)

I wonder what your recommendation would be when someone has a lot of destructive Thurisaz energy in their life; frequent misfortunes, leading to the total destruction of everything one has built both tangibly and of the self. Growth is good, but if there is too much destruction, and taken to such extremes, it becomes too much. The price paid can feel too great. Is there a way to control the Thurisaz energy so that it doesn't wreak so much havoc, or should another path be used to circumvent the destruction it causes?

Go further back. They all come from proto indo Europeans. There's a school of thought that the mystical traditions of those people took slightly different paths but kept a lot of overlap. There's commonality between the norse, hindu, germanic Celt, and other belief systems. I think where they overlap we'll find ancient truth. TLDR: look at them all. They all contain wisdom.

I understand that it's supposed to represent the duality of its own nature. It represents both the meaning of the raw chaos of the thurses, and the power and Strength of Thor, who has harnessed the raw power of this rune, and uses it to fight against chaos. Fighting fire with fire in a way.

In English the names of the days of the week come from the Norse and Anglo-Saxon traditions - the names of the gods. Monday - Moon day, probably refering to Manni, but also with Roman influence; Tuesday - Týr / Tiw; Wednesday - Odin/Wodan/Wodanaz; Thursday - Thor, and Thos is associated with the Giants, the Thurs or Thursar, he himself being half giant/Jötun (not Thursar); Friday - most believe it to be Frigg's day but it was in fact Freyja's day; Saturday - Sāturni diēs (Roman) "Saturn's Day"; Sunday - Sun Day/Sunna/Sól's day.
