I think this shows that when someone is considered "bad" and does ONE good thing they get sm praise, but when someone considered "good" does ONE bad thing, people attack them and think it's so shocking and that they are no longer "good"..

I used to know someone who went on this show. He was the privileged kid who went to live in the rural towns. The show portrayed him as an ungrateful kid who asks his parents for money so he can go out and drink with his friends, if they don’t give him the money he will throw an anger tantrum. After I found out he went on the show, I reached out to someone who we mutually know and she said he was never like that and that the whole show was staged.

The only "swap" show I like is The Return of Superman, where the mom takes like 2 days off away from the house, and the dad takes care of the house AND the kids. This show goes for quite a long episode and with 3-5 families in each episode, so it was like a "routine" maybe? Like the mom gets maybe 2-3 days off every week. I think it's a win-win show, the mom gets to rest and have fun, the dad gets to learn how to take care of the house and the kids, and the kid gets to have more bonding time with the dad.

1:00:53 Maybe that’s the psychological explanation for what you guys mentioned in the beginning. About people feeling good about seeing poverty. We spend so much time wanting to be someone or something better than what we already are. Comparing and degrading ourselves because we don’t have what someone else has, but when we take a look at how “bad it could get” it sobers us, grounds us back to reality. Like, “that could be you…” -“ thank God that ISN’T you” -“imagine if suddenly your life went from what you have now to that,” and also *“those people probably look at me and envy my life”* and maybe THATS what feels good.

There is a term for this "fall from grace" or "rise up the ladder" type of character developments in people. I cant remember the term, but it essentially says that those who are deemed "good" will fall harder when they do 1 bad thing BECAUSE they are seen as good and that they cannot do wrong. It hits harder because the act is seen as something drastically different than their personality. Whereas a "bad" person doing 1 good deed, compared to their bad past, will seem like they have done something amazing in contrast. It's all about contrasts.

Bisss please talk about the Hart family murders in a future video! It's so tragic and infuriating and more people need to know about it! Thank you

i know america's next top model is soooooo over-done but i would love to see a video on how the show has influenced the contestants' lives AFTER. not just the crazy things that had happened during the show.

⚠Stephanie, I have commented before on the dangers of black food. IDK what they seasoned it with but most people use activated charcoal to make it black. That is bad for people on any sort of medication. I can't remember if you are on any anti-anxiety medicine but it will stall their effects and any other medicine. Just a warning. ⚠
