I saw no Chemistry between Mal and Alina yet the few scenes between Alexander and Alina were full of epic Chemistry.

To me scenes between Alina and Mal were electric too. I kinda want her to be with the Darkling, Mal and Nikolai at the same time, all those relationships work for me 😂 Well, I guess Alina+Mal is kinda the most boring because it's too obvious.

This song just on the piano, these words of Aleksander and I have tears in my eyes. Ben was great in all of his scenes, but he and the character deserved the ones from the books. Something was stolen from us. If you had to change that much why not try to save Aleksander then? The answer is simple. one of the head writers, Christina Strain, hated darklinas and the Darkling as a character. She did everything she could to sabotage Darklina. So much so that even Jessie Mei li accidentally blurted out how the writers wanted to “remove all undertones of romance” for Darklina. But it doesn’t stop there. Christina Strain then went on multiple interviews and in her twitter page to say negative things about and to darklinas (even bullied a minor over it). In the days she was having a meltdown in social media, strain revealed a lot of things: (1) the goal of s2 was to destroy the Darkling as a character (to squash half the fanbase); (2) to re-write and invalidate all of Demon in the wood backstory and the addition of Baghra bone scene was there to make him a caricature; (3) strain has an active disdain for Alina instead of answering Alina questions she says “biggest sign”; (4) only carin d about Mal; (5) was by her own admission happy at the emotionless, flat ending scene where Alina acts nothing like the book (crying, cradling him, inner monologue about how k him was an act of mercy) and just stands there …. She even tried to blame the bad audience reception of that scene to JML’s acting (a tweet reply much earlier that the meltdown days). Bottom line, head writers HATED US, PUSHED HALF THE FANBASE AWAY BY BEING SPITEFUL. They easily could and should have done the book ending, OR AT LEAST HAVE HER SAY “YOU ARE NOT ALONE” as a parallel to season 1.

No, He won’t. The writers sabotaged the character on purpose. And if that wasn’t enough, the producers hired an anti who had personally harassed Ben Barnes for over 2 years to be the host of the premier. And yes there was an awkward red carpet moment where Sophia the host said who she was and Ben said “I know.” The level of disrespect is too much. Ben Barnes even mentioned in one of the cons after the release that he was done playing any villains.
